Hi ,
From the past 2-3 months, getting calls from "+91969672405" and other numbers with same country code. Earlier i thought its an indian number but realized it later, and that made me suspicious as usually scammers use such tricks.
A computer speaks at other end and says that my Fedex parcel couldnt be delivered and asks to press "1" on keypad for some action.
I dont think i have any courier coming from Fedex or anything related to it. So, its probably some kind of spam / scam.
But what could be the purpose of such calls ?
Anyone else also getting similar calls ? The timings vary throughout the day but calls are received in business hours only.
Thanks for any inputs .

recd robocall from fedex on 3may from 964532247
If you look carefully its is only 9 digits number
Yes, some countries have smaller or longer phone numbers bro.
But I have a habit of only checking first digits, and 91 gave an impression that its indian number, realized it later.
Yeah, these automated calls with options to press have become quite frequent lately. SBI credit card scammers prefer to call me manually most of the time though. 😃
Caller ID can be spoofed if call is made using VOIP apps. Any number can be used to display as the caller ID.
They may ask to share OTP during the IVR call, if you proceed with the instructions. The OTP may be for some prepaid account service.
Anybody tried by pressing 1, what happens next? No harm in pressing 1 on IVR.

FedEx Agents calls directly, I don't remember if I ever received FedEx IVR call.
It's about well known Fedex scam. Today recieved a call from +91 9996384323.
After answering the call, IVRS told as your Fedex parcel was returned due to something(I didn't hear that properly). Press 1 for more information. Even though I didn't have any parcel, I decided to click 1 to see what happens (I'm aware of these kind of scams). Then after 1 minute, connected to an executive.
First he asked me for tracking number, I said I don't have it. Next asked for mobile number, so given my mobile number. Then he told my name and there was a parcel registered on July 15th on my name that is from Mumbai to Australia which was now hold by Customs due to illegal items as they found 3 Passports and 4 ATM cards. Then I asked him, what should I do now and can you return the parcel to me, he said he can't. Also told me that I'm cheating with India, Mumbai crime branch will call me.
Again I asked me him for help, he said don't waste his time and asked me to disconnect the call, he can't help me since I'm doing this against India, I'm a Terrorist and from Khalistani group. Then I told him there is no parcel, you are trying to scam me and I started abusing him. Then he also absued me and disconnected.
I was speaking like that's my parcel and asking for return. May be he didn't expect that or that's not part of the scam, so disconnected. I was waiting for Money discussion part but didn't happen. I tried to call that number but it is saying Out of service.
