I just found out that my Thomas Cook 11k gift voucher has only a balance of 2k left in it. OMG. WTF 
Actually I bought 11k thomas cook voucher in last year end from woohoo. But due to some technical error, it wasn’t applicable. They said to use later. But afterwards due to lockdown, no travel happened.
Now prev month they sent a msg to use my voucher before expiry in Dec. Upon checking at that time it had its full balance and loaded in my woohoo account.
But yesterday upon checking it. I found that it was not showing in my woohoo. But from order history I reloaded the voucher, WTF! found that it is showing 2k as balance for the same gift card.
At the time I thought this could be technical error. But today upon calling them and asking for the info, I found that it has been used on 3 Oct and that is the info they can give on call. Rest is needed to be known by mail support (still waiting for that).
I don’t know what to do now. I was going to get the validity extended, but some fraud used it. Any advice to how to claim back the amount and where to file the complaint would be much appreciated. I know the cyber complaint option of gov.in.
P.S I didn’t share the voucher with anyone. And Woohoo was the sole platform which had its card numbers and pin.

Yup similar thing happened to me by Bank of Baroda Wallet, M-clip, 4-5 years ago.
They issued already used voucher for my purchase. Took a lot of hassle to get them changed.
Seems like this time is similar, but Woohoo is the retail arm of Quickcilver, who issues vouchers worth Crs, why would such a thing happen with them?
Woohoo accounts are getting hacked and GVs stored in accounts are getting removed and used or added to another account. Do not store any GV in Woohoo account. Write down the card no. and PIN/claim code in secure location/offline and delete all stored card from woohoo account.
OP – report by mail to woohoo support that there has been a fraud and hacking of your account.
how do you know? Have you heard of some other hacks of woohoo?
If so why woohoo isn’t doing anything?
In my case this voucher was bought and loaded in woohoo only.
My 4k egv which were stored in Woohoo are all used .Today I have raised a complaint with them …I got to only because I wanted to used them.on FK sale …
You should have got sms/email notification when they were used
I always add them to wallet balance

Why are you guys storing GV in third party wallets.? It’s simple and safe to take screenshots and store them in secure vault in apps like Lastpass, Enpass, etc. Or just write them down like old school.
Woohoo has just furnished the date of transaction of the stolen gift cards and asked to contact the merchant for details of usage. I have online FIR with Delhi Police cyber crime cell yesterday and sent a copy of FIR to Woohoo, Uber & Nykaa. Others whose gift cards have been stolen from Woohoo should also lodge FIRs online, so that Police can assess the magnitude of the fraud
Woohoo started reissuing GC, I got a new one.

Looks like some inside job at woohoo, another reason why I never suggest anyone to get large value vouchers from anywhere other than official site(e.g.amazon gv from amazon & flipkart gv from flipkart).
