A few months ago there was a promo for LTF MyZone credit card. But many people holding LTF Flipkart CC were rejected despite having no negative points about them.
I myself was being given myzone as a pre-approved card while holding ltf Flipkart but that myzone had annual fees. So decided to apply for it through the website which not only got my cibil hit with a hard enquiry but also resulted in rejection.
After pursuing nodal officer for weeks , they gave a bullshit excuse that i did not fill my address while applying for the card which isn't even possible as the online application does not let you proceed without entering all the required details (Not to forget I'm an existing customer holding both a savings account as well as a cc so they already had all my details).
Filled with rage decided to pursue this with RBI Ombudsman , weeks passed , nothing happened , lost hope and forgot about it.
Rewind to yesterday , i got a call from Axis Bank appologizing and offering me Myzone as LTF. I refused , a few minutes later got call from them again stating that RBI has ordered them to give me 5k as compensation and has also slapped a fine of 10k on the bank. She asked if it's ok to deposit the compensation in my Axis bank account and i gave my go-ahead for it.
Don't know when I'll get this compensation but it feels good to know that Axis Bank got some karma.

She did mention that we responded back to rbi that the customer is not interesting in getting the card anymore and so they have told us to give 5k as compensation to you. So i guess rbi does allow some leeway to the banks before slapping any monetary penalties.

I also got charged twice, driver took payment even though I did gpay. Never got refund ? How do I complain?

Same I thing have faced with sbi, I applied for cashback card and everything was done smoothly vkyc, Esign, then more than a week passed, I haven't received any update. So I have checked the status on website it was showing as rejected.
Then I sent a mail to support, they sent a generic reply saying declined due to internal policy. Then, I sent same email to nodal, pno, csh, they All replied with sme copy pasted email. I was not expecting a decline I am having 780 cibil, with two sbi cards with good limit. And other banks cc also.
Then, I checked my cc application with a sbi agent.
After checking he told me my application was declined because of home verification failed.
But In actual no agent visited my home for verification or nor any call received regarding this.
Even I am having Elite card as pre approved in sbi app.
Means they are happy to give me elite as pre approved but they can't provide cashback card.
Should I go ahead and file complaint in rbi forum?
I doubt they will do anything , in my case the card variant was the same as the rejected one.
I wonder if your example will inspire some others to complaint against sbi card for their latest action of taking back/deducting RPs/amt from their cards used during sale as someone mentioned they changed the initial T&C in some cases mentioning some specific date after which only the changes were supposed to take place.
Kind of same similar situation with me.
I was holding already saving account and paid FK Axis CC.
I was getting option for LTF Indian Oil Axis CC. I applied bia website and it got approved next day and CIBIL hit ofcourse.
Now the problem was they charged me 500+ GST for the card.
I complaint and even provided Screenshot for the same but instead of helping fix the issue, they cancelled the card.
Where I proceed further?
Any other dimer can also help in this.
Did you activate the card by doing a transaction? If I'm not wrong the bank can't charge you anything unless you activate the card within 30 days by doing a transaction.

Yes it took me weeks to get them to give me a reason for rejection.
Nice work bro...rbi ombudsman helps but it's a bit delayed. However this is really helpful as banks need to learn a lesson. Thinking that they can do whatever as people do not have info has made rbi pursue strict guidelines and complains from you and me will help us set these banks straight.
Where to check the joining fees ?
Submitted offline form, atm, cheque book for closing current account still axis Bank has not closed it, it's been 3+ months. ₹1500 debited every month for non maintenance of min balance.
Only problem is the acknowledgement they provided don't have proper info and seal. My bad I trusted the guy who took my form.
Any chance I can go to rbi obdumsum ?
