you can also apply through HDFC branch but branch executive should apply the Code: RRR01 in ATM/Debit card form and also told them wrote a mail to head office Specifying the card name (i.e RUPAY PREMIUM DEBIT CARD).

Yes, I have PMJDY Rupay card.
There are 2 types of accounts
BSBDA and BSBDA small (It is PMJDY account).
Just now I have confirmed with customer care executive that my account is not PMJDY account.
Both BSBDA and BSBDA small accounts are zero balance accounts with Free Rupay cards. So I think, they issued the PMJDY Rupay cards to both the accounts.
My cousin has the same account, but he received blue colour Rupay platinum card (free).

Nice I got this card when I opened my account few years back ,swapped it for Millennia 
Usually rural areas have this kit
Usually all banks give rupay variant except for that pathetic Axis .
They are such thieves even a normal debit card cost 360 pa
That’s why I opened Bsbda Account with them
Finally got a RUPAY PLATINUM from HDFC Bank using the Card Code: RRR01 by filling the form and applying through the Branch Customer Care Rep. with all the great research and help from @equalizer and our Rupay Specialist @abhishek012
