I was also holding Platanium DC of HDFC. Some dimer suggested to get Millenia over it. Applied Millenia DC through netbanking as upgrade, and received it.
Both DC have different card nos. Not sure now platanium works or not.

HDFC Millenia Debit card vs Easyshop Platinum debit card

Hello dimers,
I hold a HDFC Savings Max account (MAB 25k) which includes a free Easyshop Platinum debit card.
However, I was thinking to get Millennia debit card instead since it beats platinum card in almost all areas related to cashback. For me, airport lounge access does not matter. So I have two questions related to this:
1. Can I get Millennia DC for free replacing existing Easyshop Platinum debit card? Is there a specific channel by which this can be done (branch visit or net banking)?
2. Why is Easyshop considered a better card than Millennia? I have seen people using it to get 1% cashback for credit card payment but won’t Millenia give better returns, in-spite of being cheaper? (CC bill payment via Mobikwik should be an online spend right, giving 2.5% cashback?)
Point 2 is wrong.. mobikwik will not be considered as online spend but it will be considered as wallet reload (1%) so it will be same as platinum dc but platinum dc has higher capping. Also, cashback for millennia takes 3 months to be credited where as for platinum dc it’s credited in 2-3 days. The only place millennia beats platinum is that in smartbuy it gives 5%( card benefits) & 5% (smartbuy benefits) instead of 5% on platinum dc making Amazon voucher more valuable on millennia than platinum
@Fanil Right now I think HDFC EasyShop Bill Payment has been discontinued . So I think Millenia is Better choice now

Suggest what we need to do if opening new account
Which account variant to go for for both cases
1. Millennia
2. Easyshop
Hey guys. I hve platinum DC. How can I get 1% cashback on CC bill payment??
Also, 2.5% cashback has been discontinued

If looking for Amazon Voucher, millennia is a no-brainer. If you are looking for cashback on credit card(except hdfc, kotak and a few others which are not available on hdfc bill pay) bill payments.. it’s better to opt easyshop platinum.
Will suggest opening a savings pro account (MAB 25k) to get free debit card.

Yes i know the differences, but for millenia also do we need savings max account
Or in that case 10k basic will do?
Do HDFC IOCL Credit Card also eligible for 5% cashback on Amazon GVs through Smartbuy?

How many days it took to recieve the debit card.
Did you receive any sms/email regarding card application, generation and dispatch?
Swami007 wrote:Within a week I Got Millenia debit card. Yes they have communicated about dispatch through Bluedart by Sms and mail.
I got Millennia credit card (Dinners club international), didn’t work on Tata aig insurance website and GoDaddy as well. Stupid card….. Why they are sending dinner club ??? Which one you got ?
Does millennia debit card have same limitations of minimum 2500 redemption and expiry within 1 year?
I have requested for Millennia debit card today through HDFC Netbanking portal (It was showing me a charge of Rs 500 even in Savings Max account). No SMS or email confirmation though. I will update here if I get the card or not, and what happens to the previous card.
Just thinking about this, such a big bank like HDFC doesn’t have proper framework or notification systems in place. Customers are left wondering what will happen next?
UPDATE – This is what I received today on SMS:
“Update: We are unable to process your request for a HDFC Bank Debit Card at present. Please visit our branch or call PhoneBanking for details.”
IS not jupiter debit card which is free and offer 2% return is much better?
demerius2020 wrote:IS not jupiter debit card which is free and offer 2% return is much better?
@demerius2020 It offers only 1%, currently. And who knows in near future, might stop completely.

card is free so we will just withdraw all the money and say vanakkam, to some noble folks like me it still offer 2% on UPI + card though
Do you have IDFC debit card, the 1% offer is gone but I didn’t say vanakkam yet @demerius2020
