Hi Dimers,

I hope you’re help me in my concern

As my Vivo V9 phone got a new android 9 update package but after that when update installed in my phone it’s stuck into in bootloop and continuously restarting.

Thereafter I contacted with vivo customer support but executive guide me some steps for how I quick resolve this issue like pressing buttons and restarting in safe mode but nothing work.

Then I again contact with executive but now he said I need to visit nearest service center and he also said “Internal data of phone will permanently delete” 😕 .
For reconfirmation I contacted with vivo service center on call they also said same that it’s a only way to resolve the issue .

I searched on web for many data recovery softwares and other options for saving my data from them but nothing.

Therefore I want support of dimers who have good knowledge about this type of concern.
Is there any way to repair bootloop or copy data from internal storage before giving to service center.
As my data is more important for me .

Please suggest some solutions and way to recover my data.

Thanks 😊

@getready
Has every trick up his sleeve. toungueout
But I am 99% sure, you won’t be able to do it.
Either coz of Vivo or your expertise.
In short, it cannot be done.
Forget your data and from next time set a Google backup

Forget about data recovery (No way to do it)
And get your phone fixed via service center

From Android 9 onwards Google mandated encryption. That plus no way to unlock the bootloader means unfortunately there’s no way to recover your data. Haven’t heard of EDL exploits for Oppo/Vivo either so…

Bhai if you have enabled Google back-up ( I don’t remember the exact name), then you should be able to get contact numbers, photos. And if you have opted for gdrive backups on whatsapp, chats ll be restored. 🙂

at time of first start, a person gets prompted to set things up. Most just randomly say yes to most things maybe.

Yes it is going into recovery mode but that also updated ( Android 9 ).

Some recoveries supports USB on the go, check if you are able to mount data and system and able to access the files in that.. If that is working, you may be able to copy date in recovery.

Did you mount the data partition first?

Also first check if you are able to access your data through recovery after mounting it. Generally recoveries has option to mount partitions, you need to mount your Data in this case.

I checked for v9 bro.

seems like mounting option is not present in recovery. also there isn’t any custom recovery available for this phone on xda and your phone’s bootloader must be locked currently so I don’t think you can take backup now. :/
