My cousin has Oriental Insurance policy. He needs to get a colonoscopy check which costs Rs. 15k. It checks colon and large intestine and the procedure takes around 3 hours. Doctor said to him, if colonoscopy result shows any problem then he need to undergo surgery. My question is if he undergoes operation after 2 or 10 or 20 days of colonoscopy check, will he get 15k of colonoscopy under medical claim?

yes… but he has be in hospital for more than 24 hours for claim i think… not sure but if you need more help/doubts, i can find out for you. Just pm
Why do you think otherwise?
Is there any policy TnC which says he won’t be eligible to claim CS check?
Better mention policy TnC here or link to them.
Also, do avoid the hassle of paying and then claiming. Go for partnered hospitals which offer zero payment option wherein the hospital processes the claim and you need not shell out anything from your pocket.
I would advice the reverse.
The moment the hospital comes to know that you have a medical policy they always inflate the bill by 25-50%. If you have the capacity to pay, pay first and then lodge a claim.
bhaai sab theek sey check kar k feer karwaaaoo
better if you get your agent also in loop.
i understand that – insurance cmpnies work hard finding out a way to escape..
yes.. if the policy has pre and post hospitalization in his medical policy. Normally they has 30 days pre-hospitalization covered
