Salient Points :
1) Other G20 countries also signed up for bail-in, but those countries provide pension and healthcare to their old citizens. In India, we are only dependent on our savings in our old age.
2) Banking is a basic facility which should be prvided for by the government in a secure manner. But if we are going to save bank during losses, then we must get part of its profits as well.
3) In UK, each bank gives insurance. In India, total insurance is per person. Even if i have 5-10 different savings, FDs, RDS etc, My total insurance is 1 lakh only.
