Automation of banking and financial sector started to loot customers in the name of service charges.
When all this started in early 2000 the case study said per service customer cost will come down drastically once automated and customers need not visit branch for service.
In reality all got nice AC cabins, computers but customers still have to visit and be at mercy of staff. The situation is worst at semi urban and rural.
Frauds, service charges, kycs every 2 years, account blocks, atm charges , sms charges what not.
Everyone has to buy mobile which costs min5000 and goes busted in every 5yrs. No mobile no service, which is unwritten
Bill payments etc free now moving to subscription.
Do you think DD also move to subscription model in future ?

And in addition to that, the bank workers have no idea about their job nowadays. In past times, they knew the rules, would suggest you the best investment plan according to you.....now they suggest best plan according to their profit, even SBI. And no one knows the procedures. I had to visit the branch 4 times to open a savings account, every time I go, the bank workers asking for a new document.

DD is making money through affiliate marketing, User posts the deal for them. enriches the community with their thoughts and ideas. They get access to this platform in return. Win-Win situation.
And yes, there are chances that a paid subscription may be introduced here as well. But, then the crowd may shift to some other free alternatives.

The otherway is tie-ups, group discounts, dd member exclsive sales, price comparisons, exclusive member reviews, trading goods.
Like cred clubbed gamification+incentives +bill pay.

Great Idea. Atleast few idiots will quit this forum (hard to understand their language when they pm me abusing) and this forum will be a better place. I’m sure such users are everywhere as free riders.

@Rajkotian @1sardarKhan subscription models are necessary for. Company when there's no good steady revenue streams or the expenses are so high that. Or when the company has a service so good without any direct competition that users are happy to give them their money.
Xbox game pass, Amazon prime and Netflix can be considered good examples.
So what could DD offer that can make us users willing to pay for a subscription.
1) Something like 'Private Loot deals'
These days most loot deals get cancelled because everyone seeing those deals tries to order, sometimes Ecom servers get crashed for, most of the times there's mass order cancellations.
So posting any Loot deals aren't worth the money I can earn from posting if it significantly increases chances of cancellation of valuable products.
The deal poster get's only upto 200 dimes per deal.
I personally would have sent good loot deals to my ( trusted ) DD friends through DM if DD had a group chat feature. Even though I wouldn't have gotten any dimes.
2) DD shares a small portion of their earnings to subscribers only.
3) You can only make upto 200 dimes per deal. Maybe subscribers can make higher amount like upto 1k.

Maybe these ideas are good only on papers.
PS: I've noticed Most of the casual dimers here have an exaggerated sense of entitlement, so maybe creating a separate sister platform could be a better idea.

Why does desidime have to have a subscription model anyway? They seem to be doing fine, going by the numerous ads I keep seeing in the platform.
What do you people actually think that attracts people here?
1. It's the deals, tricks etc.,
2. And people stay for the interactive nature of the site.
If you lock any this away behind a paywall, this site will just not be the same and eventually will die.
Because people will just go somewhere else.
I have seen people here asking if they can get rewards for transactions less than 35rs(Tata neu min limit). Do you think they will pay for a subscription?

It's the very people that you want to pay, contribute the content!
You can't just copy paste other businesses and expect to get the same results.
Its important to know what the business model is.
Desidime basically is a low cost money making machine for the makers at this point!
It basically runs itself!
Other than the usual business, Just have do basic upkeep with IT, hire a few people to incite some interest with targeted posts. that's it!
I wouldnt be surprised if this very post was created by people who secretly work for desidime
