RuPay card issue is Free but depend on your SBI branch.
Annual charges Rs175+GST or some branches charge Rs250+GST

No advantage.
If RuPay will offer any contactless transaction offer or any other RuPay shopping offer then you maybe use this card to get some benefit in future.

RuPay Global debit card is also ncmc card, you can also use as a Metro card. Load money in your offline prepaid card wallet and pay at Metro, Buses etc for transit payment
and last RuPay Global debit card means you can use for International transaction at Discover or Diners club card locations worldwide or International E-com websites.
I have read that JCB card has recurring issues in Amazon Friday offer. Is that same with this Domestic card too?
I am guessing it would be the same as they should be using the same payment gateway.
No, SBI RuPay domestic card working perfectly.
Problem is only with SBI JCB card. SBI JCB card works only 1 or 2 fridays in a month.
Can you post a photo of the card masking the card details.
REP code seems is not working now. It is visible in the dropdown, but when applying gives error. Branch manager says, it might have been deactivated/withdrawn at the backend.
What they can do is upgrade you to some kind of platinum class account and directly issue rupay platinum, then downgrade the account back to normal one.
Not everyone does it but see if you have any insider to do the bid for you.

You can apply online RuPay Platinum debit card too in SBI net banking.
SBI bank officially required MAB maintain 50k for RuPay Platinum debit card & MAB maintain 1 lakh to get visa/mastercard Platinum debit card.
Indianoil RuPay-DFS Platinum debit card image i shared here, it’s not mine. One dimer got this card online (he applied normal Indianoil RuPay card from SBI net banking but got Indianoil RuPay-DFS Platinum card). Few other dimers also got online RuPay Platinum debit card, those who have lakhs of rupees in his SBI bank account. Some salary account holder also got online RuPay Platinum debit card apply option. Just few months ago, one person told me he opened SBI Yono account online and fund 60k in his account and by default SBI send him RuPay Platinum domestic debit card.
Note – There is no guarentee you will get RuPay Platinum debit card, its true if you have 50k+ bank balance, officially you will get RuPay Platinum debit card but it depends on the bank employee how knowledgeable they are. 
SBI RuPay Platinum debit card already best card because every month you get Rs100 off on 500 Amazonpay wallet load, only on Fridays.

My 10 year old Visa Sbi card is going to expire on June 2022. Should I apply new rupay right now or wait for getting expired? Or replace the card ?
Take action before expiry, else they will automatically send you renewed card.

I went to sbi home branch and they said that they have stopped issuing rupay platinum card since 1 year and no one is getting this card, then I went to other branch and they said to go to home branch.
Bad experience 
Complaint through twitter and complaint about your branch for not issuing RuPay Platinum debit card.
Next day you will get a call from your branch and you will be treated like a VIP person, you will also be offered tea/coffee etc.
Note – i am not joking, This has already happened to some people, that’s why i shared and you will get your RuPay Platinum debit card.
Anyone know for sure if SBI Platinum Domestic debit card (Code: REP) works on PhonePe and Paytm? My SBI JCB RuPay Platinum (Code: RPJ) doesn’t work at these two sites (only works on Amazon).

What to do if branch person threatens to cancel your existing debit card for ordering new debit card? That’s the problem with my SBI branch. I tried to reason with them – that there is no such rule.
Contact SBI twitter handle, SBI twitter support always reply you can hold 2 debit cards.
Hmm getting this card is harder than I thought (and harder than SBI JCB RuPay Platinum) which I got easily via Twitter when I had Visa Gold International and after branch refused to entertain. Once I got RuPay JCB, I canceled the Visa Gold immediately as I didn’t need it, until I faced this issue of JCB card not working for now on Paytm and PhonePe (I know it will work in the future). Now for this REP card:
- SBI Branch is saying we issue only 1 debit card
- SBI Twitter is saying go to branch, we can’t do anything
- SBI Customer care reached thru IVR and Netbanking is saying since you already have one RuPay Platinum, choose another from another platform e.g. Visa Platinum or RuPay Global but not another RuPay Platinum. 😬
I will try going to branch once more and try to explain the situation. Otherwise I will try another SBI branch.
Update: Was told at SBI branch that REP debit card is now only for NRO accounts. The funny thing is the name is SBI Platinum Domestic. How can this be? 😄
You can use SBI RuPay Platinum Domestic debit card outside India.
Domestic means you can use anywhere INR currency accepted like Bhutan, Nepal, Singapore, UAE, Bahrain etc.
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Ji always use this silver color SBI RuPay Platinum Domestic debit card in Singapore, UAE.
Recently RuPay card launch in Nepal, Only RuPay Domestic debit cards are supported on SBI Nepal POS machines (RuPay Global cards are only accept on Nepal ATMs).

No RuPay Platinum option in net banking.
Went to branch and asked them to issue me Rupay Platinum Card. They denied saying MAB required is 1L and then I asked if they’ll issue the card if I load the bank with the required funds, they denied saying it’ll take 1 month to reflect the MAB and I can apply myself via netbanking next month 😑

I have told them I will deposit and withdraw after month they told you have to keep 1 lakh every month...

Does blocking an SBI debit card before the annual charge levy means no charges later on? With JCB being useless, I am thinking of blocking it online. @abhishek012
Not very keen on visiting the branch to apply again. Would applying for IOC Rupay through net banking get me the Platinum one? I can maintain a high balance for a month or two if that can help.

Is the rupay offer on amazon applicable for multiple cards or just 1 time per account? I have been using Yes Bank rupay card, but thinking to get sbi rupay card as well.

You are right as always, @abhishek012 . As there was no way to figure out the first 6 or 8 digits to figure out the BIN, I started looking for alternate options. That's when the set limit option came to my mind. While the withdrawal limit is ₹40000 for both Global and Platinum, the POS limit is 2 lakhs for Platinum. And mine has a maximum of ₹75000 there. 😢
I think this should be a good way to figure out the variant before it reaches us in the absence of a facility to view the virtual card.
Hi all, I have SBI Global Rupay debit card, based on recent experience what is best way to get Rupay Platinum Debit card? Can I get by applying online via net banking? or only bank branch visit will help? Also I got know that there will be issuance charges applicable if we request upgrade card via branch. @abhishek012
