Use chewing gum as a substituteā¦i know itās not the easy, but it will give something to chew on and keep your mouth busy
I believe that any bad habit you want to leave is by procrastinating to do it. So I would say delay it for few hours. Then again when you get to that time, again delay it. Keep delaying it until you lose interest in it.
This is a good advice. Try decreasing the quantity gradually.
Constipation can be avoided easily by home made remedies and taking High fiber diet.
You should make some small program and device and plugin into OPās body, the program should be like ON chewing tobacco directly 1k gets deducted from his bank account and credit to your bank account. So in worry of 1k debits, be would stop it.

buy hay and chew it all day, itās not bad for health as in addition it will supply fiber to your body.
Or in the place of tobacco start using tea powder, its similar like tobacco. You can chew the tea powder all day or else put it inside your lips which people usually do.

Mind gets habituated of chewing, you can try with simple steps, keep few chwingums handy, fennel seeds(roast it for tasty), bettel nuts(it possible get roasted one its very tasty i eat sometimes when i feel low, and if you have patience you can try this, get pan leafs and white and brown paste, and roasted bettel nuts wen ever you feel urge u can make pan with roasted bettel nuts you can chew for some time around 20mins. And dont add cherry sweet or bla bla keep simple plain pan
If possible try not keeping money with you for few days or these pan masala pouches , this will somehow stop u from buying them. Or in place of pan masala keep pouches of candies etc . But first of all u have to fight inside ur mind as u & only u can do it to stop these bad habits
