Subject: Request to stop promotional sales calls and messages

Dear Kotak Bank Customer Service Team,

I am writing to you regarding the constant promotional sales calls and messages that I have been receiving from your bank. I have been receiving a minimum of 10 calls a day, and despite telling your representatives that I am not interested, I am still receiving these calls on a daily basis.

I would like to bring to your attention that this has become extremely frustrating for me and has caused me a lot of inconveniences. As a customer, I expect to be able to opt-out of such calls and messages, and I have already communicated my disinterest to your representatives. However, the calls and messages have not stopped.

I kindly request you to take immediate action to stop these promotional calls and messages to my number. I do not wish to receive any further sales calls or messages from your bank. I appreciate your understanding and prompt action in this matter.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Sincerely,

[Kartik (Your NAME)]

Same thing from RBL for me. I think culprit is PaisaBazaar and BankBazaar, since I started checking CIBIL with them, this has increased. Min 3 calls everyday and around 10 sms for loans daily.

How? You end up not receiving callback for your loan approval or from nodal officer complaints or health/life/ motor insurance claim teams or RBI grievance redressal or travel airline representatives even your day to day banking/credit card priority customer care.

If they start saying I am calling from yxz bank, I start with "I do not need credit card do not any loan and do not need any card upgrade, if you have anything else continue otherwise just disconnect". IF they still try talking about loan/card, then I switch to asking if they are illiterate.

And of course, immediately after the call, I just block the no.

They are invading our privacy. So they do not deserve our courtesy.

But that's very rude, isn't it worried

I had recently opened my account in hdfc bank and shortly started getting ivr calls for loans from different nos. Truecaller showed one no. was from official hdfc and other no. couldn't be verified. I raised the complaint with HDFC that i am getting two three calls daily for perosnal loan and i am not interested. Since i had opted for HDFC DNC i asked them why i am still getting these unwanted calls. They raised the ticket and after wasting 15-20 days replied these calls are not from official channels since they couldn't verify them. They told me they are most probably third party agents selling their products. Then i asked them how on earth they got my no. and i started getting calls just after opening account, they had no clear answer and asked me to complain to trai. These suckers first themselves spam customer and that's not enough then they sell the data to third party agents for spamming.

That's not true,Because Now Every Other Larger Corporate Companies like Banks,Insurance Policy Companies have Truecaller Verified License (Shown in Green Color) these number can be directly connected to your number without any hassle.

Whatever you are saying Truecaller doesn't Block Calls from the List you mentioned because if people don't mark it a Spam then it won't be an issue the call will get connected.

Even,I receive the calls from such people which you have mentioned but 96% time It blocks Spamming Calls and Very Rarely it will block 1 call which is important.

3. Now, select the "Activate DND" option from the IVRS menu.

4. Select the "Activate Full DND" option to stop most of the credit card calls.

6. Within 3 days, Full DND will be activated on your mobile number.

Have you guys tried the contrarian approach here? - Tell them you want a card with atleast INR 15 lakh limit & the most premium card like Infinia, magnus, etc as LTF with the fee vouchers. Also, tell them that you should not receive any call or card blockage if dues are not paid on time. ALL these conditions (& maybe more demands if you want to add) needs to be on email from them. Only then will you allow for a CC application. If they still ask for email, ask them to send a whatsapp/sms first since they already have the number 😂😂

IF you want peace of mind, never ever install truecaller or similar apps.

Just treat these spammers as your punching bag and vent all anger/irritation that you felt against anything anywhere on them. After you have treated them as your verbal punching bag, you will achieve real peace of mind.

They are making unsolicited calls, so they are asking to be treated like a punching bag.

Interestingly, I have noticed the same. When i uninstall TrueCaller, I stop getting whatsapp messages from businesses.Sometimes, even these spam sales calls go down over a period of couple of weeks post uninstall.

I clearly tell them politely right at the beginning of the call that I do not need card/loan etc. Anyone who persists after being clearly denied is shameless. Shameless people need to be given back their own medicine. If they are getting paid to be shameless, then they should not be shown any mercy.

Thanks bro.. I also get sms/call daily  for credit cards and instead of making fun of sales people, I just cut the call. Bcoz I will get nothing from making fun of them. They will definitely not remove your number from the database, if you make fun of them and every time there will be a different person.

You are just taking out your life's frustration on some salesman who is doing his job.

Keep doing that plus1

I don't want to write a long para on this. I'll only say in shell that we all agree on that point that they're doing a job, blah blah. I was student of science. I used to say

Hey mosquito, I'll not kill you. Because If I killed you, it'll disbalance the ecosystem, eventually gives negative impact on nature . Many a times, not killed. But, is this correct to leave them even if their siblings and relatives doesn't care at all?

I especially not frustrated with my life (also same applies for COPs). It's human nature though. That's why told you it's an ideal situation. and whenever there's ideal situation, system's change in entropy gets zero and will collapse.

At certain extent, your thought is feasible and manageable only.

I'll feel good if they leave that "bullsh*t job ref:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullshi...bs" , and do a job that's beneficial for them and the society. Use asterisk (*) just to avoid adult slang word. I don't think they really wanted. They're also humans, so do we also. I'm (*not:edited) provoking to do abuse or make fun of them but indefinite limit has "c" in it and it's level varies from person to person. SKY isn't limit na.

We are morally incorrect if we say something to them and they're are morally incorrect if they repeats same thing.

P.S: this post is not intended to hurt you. Here you refers to those who have opposite/neutral/same stand. Nothing personal  grudge to you, the topic and the  people mentioned in this post.

So, you are making fun of them so that they will lose their job?
I get it, you want them to do some better jobs.. but do you think making fun of them helps?
They will only lose their confidence and get low self esteem.

Secondly, even if they get some other job (given the current job market), there will be new hirings and someone else will replace him. This cycle will continue.
So, will you continue to humiliate these sales people?

You are morally incorrect if you make fun of them, they are not morally incorrect if they repeat the same thing.

Do you think their manager will say good job don't repeat yourself when the customer has already declined the product?

On the other hand, you have the option to just cut the call, block number and continue with your life. But you did not choose that.

Btw, please don't compare mosquitoes with human beings.

It will not help, as banks outsources you Mobile number to 3rd party caller.

Best way is download trai's DND app and report the spammer and then block the number.
