How to Stop VAS Unauthorized/illegal VAS Activation

Recently ported to VI & they deducted VAS today.
Have no idea how to stop these.

With Vi, best solution is to keep nil main balance or less than 10.
They are doing this for many years.
Me and @mastervijay faced this issue many times earlier. If we complain they will refund, but again after some days they will do the same.
Now iam holding only one Vi sim, earlier idea. It is having 197.18 Talk time for the last 1 and half year. Still wondering how they missed to deduct vas for this no. This is just secondary no. No recharges done for last 2 years.
Best way ::
Connect with them in twitter stating VAS activation and upload the screenshot of deducted money.
They will log a complaint regarding the issue and refund the money as one time gesture.
After few minutes you will receive a call from VI executive.
Ask them for activating complete/full DND on your number.
Track the complaint and refund request status on VI app.
Note :: In every 6 months this DND request is auto cancel and you have to again connect for new DND.

They informed multiple times that the services are blacklisted, but every now and then I see some random deductions. Since the SIM card is seconday, these deductions go unnoticed.
So to beat this, I resend the email to their care citing random deductions etc shit without mentioning the deduction details. They will either respond saying the account is clean or mentioning the deails of deductions and refund. I send this email randomly ( every 1-2 months) without bothering about if there is a deduction or not.
These days I’m not noticing any deductions, looks like they did block the services. Anyhow moving to BSNL in a week or so.

@rajrocks If you are talking about Vi then Call 198 as other dimer told. Ask them to activate VAS Blacklist and blacklist all 3 types of services. They normally blacklist two types and operator based remains active. So pressurize them to de-activate all 3 kind. They will try to manipulate by saying you wont be able to use Caller Tune services. Tell them I don’t need it. You will receive 3 SMS confirming the same and you can check in Vi App service request. After 180 days they Whitelist all services. So call again.
P.S- I have 8 Vi sims and having 100+ balance in all. No deduction in last many months. I keep the date of VAS blacklist in Excel sheet. Normally after 90 days they can’t track the request.

Customer based activation like clicking on link, USSD. Second Third Party based like services from Hungama Portal, GameX etc. Third is operator based where Cricket packs, Astro packs activates.

[But honestly, I have absolutely no idea (as to) how people face unauthorised VAS activation issue. Never had this issue ever. Just some BSNL quirks and in the era of chargeable data beyond limits, once 300-325₹ balance got wiped post midnight use/post free data validity].
We never use nonsense applications from these Telecom Companies, and always try to enable DND as soon as we can.
We also report all marketing calls and illegal routing of international call from local numbers (incoming call shows as a plus 91 number).
So it is possible that those who enable weird content, services or use the selfcare applications of Voda Idea, Airtel, Jio end up getting subscribed to spam content.
One could try the USSD and SMS methods,
or voice contact their customer care, if one is in the mood to empathise with and get a feel of how the Jews felt during the holocaust.

Previously, calling 18001234567 easily connected to an agent, after selecting preferred language.
Since you too are a MNP customer, it should work for you too, by calling 📱18001234567📲
Otherwise 》 199 》 language selection 》 5 (report SIM loss) 》 then press any key to stop IVR blabbering 》 then 📱1📲 for more 》 then again some random number the IVR will give “press N to speak to our C.S.Associate”.
