i was opened my mouth for sweets. swiggy closed my empty mouth.

today i ordered some of sweets on swiggy. after that i got a call from swiggy. pre-recorded voice said “some of the items you ordered are not available”

i selected alternative items successfully. after sometime, i got a call from one of the swiggy’s customer care executive. she said “replaced items not available too” and she suggested me some of another sweets. i selected one from the list she said.

after a few minutes, my order was cancelled automatically..! i received full refund… but, i lost amazon 40% cb offer. atleast i didn’t received any compensation.

i contacted swiggy about this issue. asked the reason of cancellation. they still saying “items are not available”

lets start talk about some facts…

Bad things from restaurant’s side:-
some of the restaurant’s staff is very very lazy. they won’t update online menu with available items. 80 to 90 percent items are available only on menu. not available on the restaurant.

management between online food compenies to restaurant – very very bad. Food companies do not know what items are available and what items weren’t available in restaurants. when we order unavailable items, they only suggest to select alternatives. see the example of the time waste process…

i ordered abcd.
cc says:- abcd not available.
i replaced abcd with efgh.
cc said:- sorry, efgh not available. you can choose ijkl or mnop.
i select ijkl.
cc says:- sorry. order was canceled because the items you ordered are not available.

some good and bad things from delivery boy’s side:-
sometimes delivery boys are very helpful. if ordered items are not available, firstly, they don’t contact customer care. they will contact customers directly. and they will suggest available items (with the same price of unavailable items) to customers because they are seeing available items directly with their own eyes. but some delivery boys are contacting customer care and the customer care executives are wasting our time and they will distroy our order.

what tips food compenies must follow?
1) force the restaurants for updating menu with available items atleast once in a day.
2) if ordered items are not available, connect customer’s phone call to delivery boy. delivery boy can handle such cases easely because he is in the restaurant.
3) help the delivery boy for finding same priced items for replacing. show the same priced items on his mobile screen and let him check the availability of the items.
4) Finally … don’t get involved into such things. Delivery boy help is sufficient to solve the problem.

amazon offer will be available for use again … this happened to be at least 5 times. some restaurnats simply are too lazy. Avoid those.

If Order Is Cancelled Or Refunded Then You Can Again Use The Same Amazon Offer Without Any Issue.
And This Cancellation Stuff Happened With Me Once Where I Got For Call Choosing Alternate Item Every 10 Mins And After 4 Calls, The Order Got Fully Cancelled. smile

Happened with me also once. ordered sweets from the Kanti sweets and after order confirmation they called from restaurant saying that the item is not available and asked to select alternative. i selected another one and was quickly delivered. good that they didn’t involve swiggy and directly called so it was resolved and they gave some extra sweets also for the trouble.
so not a bad experience .

Swiggy cancelled my order and Amazon 40% offer was used, I again placed order Cashback didn’t came, amazon didn’t give Cashback for second order, help what to do, contacted customer care , as usual they told to wait 7 working days

swiggy cc is definitely on the downside nowadays
I had recently ordered and due to another interim delivery, mine order took a lot of time after picked up and hence cold food but swiggy exec told that point noted even though here fault was purely from swiggy’s logistics pov

You will not get CB for new order
This is how cashback system works. Offer gets redeemed (once ordered + CB issued) regardless of order being fulfilled
