I am in Dubai on Tourist visa and I want to know that How many pieces can I brought from Dubai without any custom duty or any other tax. I already purchase 1pcs of 12 Pro @ 3720 Dhihram and it cost me around Rs. 75000 in Indian currency. Need a valuable suggestion from your past experiences.

Assuming that you have stayed in Dubai for more than 3 days and then returning to India, personal effects are completely duty-free but only Rs 45,000 worth of non-personal effects is allowed to be imported duty-free. Rest everything is dutiable. Since one can argue that a mobile phone is a personal effect and is required for satisfying daily necessities, you can bring one phone duty-free to
India but if you try to bring multiple such expensive goods, you definitely stand a risk of getting charged for the duty fees. If you are just bringing one phone, then the best approach is to keep the box and other accessories in the bag itself and carry the phones (existing + new one) in your pocket. Having two phones is normal, so it should not raise any eyebrows.

To avoid custom, don’t bring them with box, put sim cards on all the iPhones keep im ON state like normal used phones. But if you bring many iPhones, only luck can save you. The customs officers are not dumb they know tactics of passengers bringing things from abroad for commercial purposes.
