Is buying electronics items on sale is bad?

Hello dimers,
I am planning to buy a laptop within a few months. I was planning to wait for the big billion/great Indian sale or any other big sale for buying it as the price reduces at that time and also we could get some good bank offers at that time.
But I heard from a few people that the electronics items sold during sale times are those products that have some manufacturing defects and companies sell them at discount at that time.
is it true? Is there someone who bought something during any big sale at a cheap price? Please share your experience…

Why would they sell defective product customer will return this as 10 days return policy easily available.
Go for it during sale without hesitation.
But now a days during sale the price is not much difference.

just check the seller… if its 3rd party seller then maybe some problem airses but still they return and replacement policies…
Just watch out for 3rd party seller… if product is sold by 3rd party seller then check its reviews and all
Also always look out when shopping on flipkart as for some time now there policies are changing.. like when we ordered something and recieved some damaged or different product then they check your account throughly… in somecases they even block peoples account permanently…
go for amazon if you can because they have better policies.. if only flipkart is availabe then check seller and also order product that have less probablity for return like avoid cloths or footware etc from flipkart if possible…
Once flipkart blocked my account for cancellation of 2-3 products from my account. Never got that account back….😢
Buy anytime anything. But for higher value items go with Amazon or Flipkart own sellers to ensure 90% safety on quality and no hassle returns & refunds. Rest depends on luck factor. If price is too tempting, take a chance with 3rd party sellers. In all cases be prepared for anything that may go wrong.
For the last 10 years, almost 95% of all my purchases are online. I am bad at bargaining and estimating actual prices, so I prefer online. Initially online platforms used to post actual prices, then came trend of inflating prices, creating illusion of discounts. Thanks to price tracking sites, consumers were able to detect original selling prices.
It is bad….. Cause you end up buying things which are not required….. 
amazon’s anchor sellers areAppario Retail and Cloudtail… flipkart has WS Retail.. most of the products you find are of these sellers…
just scroll down and you can see the seller name on product page on amazon and flipkart with there ratings and check reviews of sellers..
i personally don’t like flopkart because they blocked my 2 account even though they are at fault and so i just moved to amazon completly, i use flipkart only if i don’t have any other option.. thankfully i don’t lost my money… you will find how worst their customer support after they block your account…
