JIO fibre vs Airtel broadband - use case

I currently pay Rs950 for Airtel broadband and Rs450 for Airtel DTH.

During rainy season the Airtel DTH would not work, hence thinking of some other vendor.

If I switch to JIO fiber with setup box, I guess, there wont be any issue with TV connection too if I opt for the setup box.

What would be my monthly bills for the JIO package with setup box ? Can any one throw some light on it?

I have zero knowledge on JIO, hence asking for suggestions.

Is the above cost (14,145) inclusive of internet? Edit: Got the answer.

How to watch regular channels ?
Is the JIO TV part of this package?

Let me ask you straight forward question!
Can we replace the DTH or is it compliment to the DTH?

@ramadesidime If you are from mumbai i’ll suggest you my ISP else you may easily opt for jio’s newly launched plan wherein they are also giving 30 days free trail and check out for yourself which plan works out for you. 30Mbps unlimited will cost you 470rs which will be inclusive of GST and the 100 Mbps silver plan will cost you 825rs with GST.

I was a beta customer used jio completely till they provided me free services and after that i took my refund and again switched to my old ISP biggrin

https://www.jio.com/regist...on

Hope this helps.

This video will clear your doubts.

I think we can replace the DTH. As most of the shows can be streamed from youtube, the regional ones. Hotstar subscription is also added. So, it’s similar to Jio TV. 🙂🙂🙂 Regular channels can be viewed on it.
I ll suggest you take the connection. Take the 30 days trial. If everything works well, then keep the connection. Otherwise we have our traditional dth + broadband 🙂🙂🙂🙂

According to him, this is a complement to DTH as on today. But I see, it is going to replace the DTH in couple of months now, with the hotstar, sunnxt, zee5, prime video.

Can we continue to watch the JIO TV on this (the JIO TV app which is available on our mobiles ) ?
If so, that would definitely replace the DTH.

Note: Any reliance product manufactured is for the masses and usually it would have OK quality. Thats the only concern, I have at this moment.

One more query.

Can we have post dated billing for this JIO fiber connection?

I didn’t get the question actually. Jio fiber is now prepaid only.

To replace Dth you have to change mindset of people in the family, from watching whatever is on TV to knowing what to watch and at any time.

Its difficult to change this for many people

If we have firestick or android tv, can we install yupptv app and start watching live TV channels?

Is there any way to get rid off the dth and start utilising the internet connection fully?
Has any one done it?

Please tell if watching live TV channels in Jio fiber is free?

In Airtel xstream, i think we need to pay monthly to see live TV channels.

Can it be concluded that Jio fiberis cheaper than Airtel xstream to enjoy internet, live TV and OTT.

JIO TV (which is for mobile phone) will not work via JIO fibre according to some users in DD.

According to DD replies from dimers, they have done this via firestick and thop tv.
