LUNA crash: Why is Terra Luna crashing?
The Terra ecosystem has adopted UST as a stablecoin, leading to the interlinking of LUNA and UST. A stablecoin is linked to an underlying asset, such as precious metal such as gold, or the US dollar.
UST has recently ‘de-pegged’ to $0.45 from its value of $1. This marked a drop of about 55 percent. Since both UST and LUNA are interlinked, the massive drop in UST value has resulted in LUNA’s overall drop.
As per CoinDesk, Terra’s market cap now stands at under $1 billion ($994.17 million at the time of writing). This is in stark contrast to its all-time high market cap of around $25 billion.
For now, investors can only wait for the market to progressively stabilise to help recover from the losses.

Joke aside I didn’t even lose ₹1 in this Luna scam however it has scared or terrified me enough to completely exit Crypto forever at this moment (had already exited months back at a huge % of profit – not a lot in terms of value but in % the profit was lot).
Now I have decided that it’s best to wait and buy best stocks in dips. Crypto makes people rich overnight however those are exceptions and rare cases we don’t come across people who have lost everything due to crypto. Luna is the best example of this.
Still remember the hype around it – people were screaming it’s the future (Luna) with great potential now we can see the results

It’s really very dangerous when stable coins get dumped and the reason being only few people like 2 or 4 or 5 has most of the market shares of any particular crypto and if they sell it no doubt it will fall like cards house.
