magicpin and apollo are total scam

I made an order on apollo via magicpin, after waiting 40 min, delivery boy came.

He gave me bill, i asked where is the item/product, he said he was not given any item by the store they said the customer has taken his order, u just take the bill and mark it deliver. I asked what’s the point, i made an online delivery order how can i take the product by my own, he said pls complain to store. (App baat karlo sir unse)

Delivery boy – if i marked it delivered at the store the. I get only 25₹ and if i come to customer location and then mark it delivered then i get 100₹, he showed me his mobile where he got 100₹ for his delivery.

Back to issue – he marked it delivered, and suggested me to complain to magicpin or call store. I made the call to the store right away, a boy picked and after 2 min of investigation he realised his mistake and apologiesed, he requested the delivery boy to come again nd pick the  product, but he denied saying he already completed it and wont come again.

The store person denied to get it delivered , but assured me that not to worry, as bill is made, u will get ur product soon (in a fishy tone, and laughing in the background)

I complaint to magicpin, and their support is so dumb, they replied with their copy pasted message that as per logs ur order is delivered, ticket closed.

it’s better you get the medicine’s yourself by visiting the Apollo pharmacy and close the issue. Wasting the time with customer care and end up with more frustration. One cannot avoid medicines, it’s a valuable thing

Bro first of all, you should not have marked your order as delivered without getting your products. Secondly, you should have done video recording of the delivery person. Remember - Emotions have no value in business. Now to deal with this situation, you will have to visit their store on your own and deal with them in-person.

I didn’t mark it delivered, the delivery boy made it himself, no otp was required, (he was zomato guy), i didn’t make any video but i do have full call recording.
Now the store is closed, will take this up tomorrow when it reopens.

How to become a delivery person for Apollo?

 

 

If it is fixed ₹100 (very doubtful) and not based on distance or time of the day or special days...

... then can tie-up with the store nearby and order daily and be the delivery person for such orders.

Don’t worry, either go to store and resolve, or after automated reply from magicpin you will get a call within 18 hours , explain them , they will take you to conference for proof with store/delivery boy and refund after that, i can understand it has happened with me also 3-4 times(different cases/situation) from 2021 till now,

Update – they (magicpin) have cancelled the order and processed refund. Case is closed.
Also, a generous lady called me up today and apologized for the inconvenience i had and also requested to take down the post from desidime (this post).. so i request admins @admin to do whatever is necessary.

We don’t have Apollo & stuff near our village but still no need to delete the post/thread. Your issue is resolved & I a happy for it but there would be many on this forum who order from Apollo via magicpin hence I believe they would get aware from this post. Since magicpin is already a mad dog.

Magicpin has got a pretty good customer support although they are filled up with ton of issues but their support sorts them out.

What is the scam here? Neither Magicpin is at fault nor Apollo , the first response you get from customer support for such odd scenarios will always be dumb (Remember, you allowed the item to be marked as delivered, closing the support ticket is not wrong here considering the refund/replacement scamsters*)

The delivery person is fault and so are you. Experienced many similar incidents (Amazon, Flipkart, Pharmeasy) where delivery person marked the item as delivered when he isn’t able to do it on time and the only times i stopped myself from raising a support ticket is when the delivery person called me explaining the reason before he marked it so (There were times when i received the item a day/two after marking it delivered)

For the past month or so, there’s huge rush for home deliveries / store pickup because of the discounts, mistakes like these are expected once in a while but this doesn’t mean its a scam (If the product wasn’t marked delivered, both Apollo and Magicpin would’ve responded differently)

How i am at fault, the delivery boy marked it delivered by his own (as no otp was required to do so).
And that was not first response which was dump, every response is same (copy pasted) they just can’t read what you are replying/saying, they just past the same message and close the ticket.

The delivery person could be at fault, but at his position he was right, he asked the store boy for the item which they refused (by saying customer has already taken it).
Imo , the fault is of apollo store guy, and 2nd magicpin which closes ticket (not just 1 time but everytime) by giving same response as if it was an auto reply.

I had to shoot mail nd tweet , only then they did order cancellation and process the refund (they didn’t even gave any response though, it was still an auto process, seems the cancellation began from apollo side, as they were not even listening to my request or complaint)

Scam is when even explaining the whole scenario, the revert u get is auto/same and the issue is closed without any resolution and this case is wid apollo due to their no refund policy….while if it was food order issue then it was resolved immediately.

And the case u are comparing it with, is total different, marking early delivery and requesting not to complain as the delivery tem us running slow is entire different case.


Possibilities1 – if the delivery boy didn’t mark the item as delivered and agreed to go back and collect the item , then i don’t to raise issue at magicpin end.

Possibility 2 – even after this, if magicpin responded in a +ve way, and on that time they take the apolo nd me on same call then they got to know what is the case and they can act accordingly. They there won’t be ny issue, right.


Outcome imo – many are at fault, but the company which is managing all is only liable.

Similar issue happened to me yesterday.. Ordered medicines (prepaid order) at 2pm

From then on till 6.30pm the riders kept on changing..

Atlast one rider picked up the order..so called him for confirmation that he’s coming to deliver my order only..

After some 30 minutes later he didn’t pick up the phone..

Then magicpin cc called to me and put the call on conference with the rider..who casually said ‘sir cancel the order’..

So the magicpin cc said that he’ll cancel the order..and said I can place a fresh order again..

Few minutes later.. got mail from magicpin that the order was not delivered because  and they are refunding the amount as one time exception..

I was like WTH..placed few orders last week also on same address..and these people are firing at me..

I just replied..‘why the heck are you warning me for the freaking delivery guy’s fault’

Placed the second order again from another branch.. and got it delivered in 30 minutes..

I faced this same issue with apollo 1 item was missing from but marked on bill 2 complaints to magicpin and 2 complaints to apollo later next day a dilevery boy came to dilever a single item
