Angelo Mathews became the first ever player who was given timed out in colossal 146 years of International cricket history.
Timed out wicket is far more complex and controversial than it appears.
When asked why he was demanding timed out wicket, Shakib Al Hasan said, "I felt like I was at war. Whatever I had to do it, I did it. I don't know if it's right or wrong."
The reason why Shakib Al Hasan used 'war' word in a sporting event is because he is facing strongest criticism and backlash for team's worst performance back home in Bangladesh.
Was Angelo Mathews' wicket just a compliance of law or hindrance to Spirit of game?

Chanting spirit of game feels more like playing victim card now. Its a well documented law, you get out if you don't comply.
That should be out if someone is not coming in field to play.. and he came to the crease.. just he realises some issue with helmet and ask to change… if mathew know bangladesh can goto this extent he can play one ball and than ask for change of helmet..
People had wasted a way more time than this..
i think it’s time to do some modifications in rule.. and this should be upto umpire to judge.. not the opposite team..
kangladesh & spirit of game are two opposite word
Many players helping fielding team by giving ball with hand, or keeping stump proper with his bat, both not allowed, still no one is appealing against it.
Shakib should be the last person to talk about rules. He himself has hit wickets after getting out
Mathews said video evidence will be released soon.
