My brother’s Redmi Note 7 pro battery died recently and we were stunned to find the battery which costed around rs 1200 is now rs 2999 plus GST plus service charges
Totral price quote including fitting charges and pasting charges is coming littles less than rs 4000 which is too HIGH for a phone which was available around 13k
CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ALTERNATIVE BATTERY BRAND WHICH WORKS AS GOOD AS ORIGINAL ????

Go to ntr complex in Vijayawada or try in maxbhi.com
exchange it buy new
The overwhelming majority of third-party batteries are just crap. Some that reportedly delivered good battery backup for the first few months degraded quickly afterwards so as to require replacement in less than a year. The hiked prices can’t be justified either so kinda caught between a rock and a hard place. For not too old devices that will deliver sufficient performance for the next few years original battery can be considered. Most Xiaomi devices seem to support bypass charging with root so that seems to be a great way to prolong battery longevity.
P.S. What exactly do you mean by the battery in RN7P dying? Phone doesn’t start w/o being plugged in or switching off suddenly if unplugged?
untill yesterday noon it was charging full within 15 mins
Yesterday complateley drained and then full charged in switch off mode , after that onwards when charging cable removed phone dies in 15 mins usage
Mi Max 2 battery is still reasonably priced at Rs 999. Including GST and labour charges ~Rs 1.4k. Don’t waste money on third-party garbage. @hese

Edit: If you root and limit battery charging between 30-80% or so it’s very likely the battery would last 5-6 years. My Redmi Note 3 is about to turn 5 and battery health is around 77%. In addition limiting max. charging voltage should yield even more benefits.
My redmi 4 battery is 999 as per your shared price list. May I know how much the service center will charge as labour etc in addition to the cost of that battery.
@siddudeagarwal While battery for F1 is listed at Rs 4999 on Poco website excl. taxes etc. which comes to a whopping Rs 6.4k , service centers still quote the old price, Rs 4k. But it’s mostly OSS with a 5-15 day wait period. When it comes back in stock every chance it’s price at the service points will be updated to the one the website. There’s some speculation that a shortage of parts has led to the price hike which might be reverted later if and when the situation improves. However no other company has effected such a massive price hike…
Samsung spare parts is quite reasonably priced and service cost is also less than redmi.
A50 battery cost is just 799, so including labor it will be less than 1500.
Redmi/Realme/Mi are cheaper to buy but very rare to last for more than couple of years
at max.
I purchased Redmi Note 4 Battery for ₹550 all inclusive from a local shop in July which also offered 6 months Seller Warranty. It’s working fine so far and backup is surprisingly as good as original. 😊
Pretty common for third-party batteries to deliver decent battery life for the first few months and degrade rapidly thereafter so as to require replacement within a year or so. Which brand?
anyone has experience buying battery from batterygod?
Xiaomi seems to have rolled back the exorbitant price hike across it’s entire smartphone lineup.
