Precisely sbi gyftr worked fine while offer was going on till yesterday, thanks for testing amazon gv buying from amazon itself and posting.
SBI knows that we are bypassing their limitations (utilities/ bills/ insurance etc) using amazon GV. They can't be fools and keep taking losses forever.
These things will be patched definitely, don't get heart attacks, just enjoy till it lasts.
Got 5%, purchased this month only.
Gyftr 1.5% instant discount + 5% may still remain I guess. .. Amazon voucher from Amazon may be blocked. ..

If not today, some day this is bound to happen( Like 5% in the past vs 2% now on gift card purchases on amazon with APay CC). They cannot reverse this cashback (since there's no explicit card term prohibiting rewards for gift card purchases) so haffun until this lasts (I'm sure cashback cardholders especially dimers would've earned much more than the 999 annual fee already so no serious regrets either)

Buying gv from amazon because amazon offering 100 back on 3k +5% from cashback card
something tells me we're still getting 5% on amazon gc, will try in evening and let you guys know in 2 days
Also, real jhatkas is going to be reversal of all 5% rewards earned on non eligible usage, intend to close this card in 1-2 months before that happens 😄

Bought 3 Amazon GVs on 1st and 2nd in Amazon website and I got 5% for all the transactions. The last transaction got settled yesterday
how come they notice it? If we talk to any employees in SBI none of them are sensible and have some deep knowledge of their products and cashbacks.

In my opinion, as long as one is able to add regular stuff from amazon in cart along with a GV, there's no way to differentiate what the spend has been for. To send this info to CC issuer amazon needs to segregate both these categories, which it hasn't done till now. Just try for yourself and see, you can add a chappal along with a GV and make a single payment.

Even if one tries the chappal clubbing, still 5% will come, can't see any 1% yet.
This post will confuse everyone and except op nobody confirmed about getting 1% and all got 5% till now even if txn done in jan month also.
Yes they reversed sale time cashback but it doesnt mean all kind of cashback will be reverse without any notification.

As long as it gives 5% cashback on educational fee payment, it's a great card for me.

Many doing trading by purchasing gvs, so if 5% cb doesn't come they may end up losing money
Just check deal wiki, already 1.5% upfront cost/loss is suggested in anticipation of 5% cb.

Yesterday morning got 5% for amazon gift card from amazon
My cashback amount is posted and it is exactly matching what is expected. I track transactions manually to calculate cashback. Nothing to worry so far.
If a credit card is making us do a lot of work in terms of cashback, tracking , rules etc better to avoid it
