Just accept it and later on you can request for limit increase
My gross salary 38k..take home salary 25k.. That too salary account in SBI itself.. Heard that d limit wud b twice d salary. But not in my case . though it’s my first ever unsecured card.. unhappy with d limit .dey didn’t decline d card..that’s d only positive..
Keep the card & use it in a good way for at least 1 year as sbi & icici cards never increase a card limit before 1 year.
1 year huh???
How did you know about the limit? From CIBIL Report or Card Delivered ?
E card through email.
Here’s the trick to increase sbi limit.
Purchase for more than credit limit by depositing extra money.
Pay the bills well in time.
You will surely receive limit enhancement offers.
U mean pay d amount to cc even b4 making purchase? If I wanna purchase 20k shall I make 10k towards my cc n pay 20k b4 bill generation? No over usage charges?
@VimAl_Raj Dude accept it, use wisely as suggested and you can easily get the CL increased
btw, how did you apply ? online or via branch ?
Branch .but that idiot applied for save.. But during Verification call I told that he applied for click only.. Then they changed it..n processed..
@VimAl_Raj how much u need to spend to get annual fees waived off?
1L
Accept it. Better than nothing(no unsecured CC).
Right now CL upgrade should be left as a task for future.
Use it smartly. Make sure, when all things considered, you aren’t not paying for the card.
For just ₹89.82(499+GST-500 amzn GV), you are getting a tier-2 unsecured card for the first year.
I’ll be happy with that.
More so, given that SBI-Amazon offers for debit card have pretty much dried up these days, it is a great card to have in your arsenal.
At least your card application got approved. Don’t decline just keep using & pay bills on time. You will definitely get credit limit increase offer in future.
My card was issued on basis of account balance without income documents with a very low limit. I spend close to max limit every month ‘but’ prepay the amount before bill generation leaving less than 30% of credit limit before billing date.
Is this right strategy or should I leave a bigger amount (even at the risk of higher credit utilisation effecting CIBIL)?
Regularly breaching that 30% limit may adversely impact your credit score.
Stick to what you have been doing.
10k limit for someone employed (w/ Income Documents / ITR) ?
SBI must be joking.. it would’ve made sense if they approved the card w/ 10k limit (which they do in most cases) based on your relationship with the bank or MAB
IMO.. its better to reject and apply the same after a little while (Paying Extra bill may/may not increase your credit limit temporarily .. it all depends on the bank)
If you got all supporting documents, SBI does increase your credit limit easily after about 6 months but there can be no guarantee about it (Considering the COVID pandemic & the consequences). Many banks stopped offering auto-limit enhancement offers since March 2020 (some even started reducing the offered credit limit*)
Yeah.. If they considered my take home salary.. Should have provided 25k… But 10k … unbelievable…
Its my first ever unsecured cc..But they didn’t make any address verification r office verification.. Just phone call verification.. CIBIL enquiry made twice.. Applied on 15th Dec.. approved on Jan 15th.. exactly one month..
yes, after 6 months at least.
congrats !!
first cc ki khushi alag hi hoti h fir chahe 10k limit ho ya 1lakh
