Need help for opening savings account using Aadhaar OTP

Hello Friends,

I was trying to apply for ICICI savings account online, and while applying for it, it asked for Aadhaar number and I had to agree for a clause,
“I understand and confirm that I do not have / nor will open any other Aadhaar OTP based account with any other Institute.”

What does that mean? Does it mean that if I agree to that, then I can’t apply for any other banks using Aadhaar OTP?

P.S. I tried contacting their customer service, but it seems they’re offline because of Covid situation.

yes, you can only have one bank account whit aadhar OTP. In any case, you will have to do full kyc (physical) before one year for any online bank account

Now all banks started online acc opening. I am sure this limit of only one bank acc with aadhar is meant only for basic kyc. If u complete biometric/full kyc/video kyc then u can use aadhar otp again for other bank acc.
