Any specific link to product? I do live near to sea cost less then1km away.
@bucksaver any suggestions? I’m looking for home purpose for longer run. I saw your previous post but still
Go to local ro shop. Depending on your locality water, membrane may change. Give him this Specifications:
1. CSM membrane
2. Lexpure or hi-tech or any other reputed brand inline filters.
3. 100gpd pump
4. Mineral cartridge.
Ask him to prepare a ro filter based on above specifications. You can select any kind of ro filter body.
If your locality water is not hard, rather dirty, then instead of CSM membrane, use NF membranes. Search NF membrane on amazon.in
That’s it. You will save considerable amount.
kent ultra storage 7 l, uv and uf water purifier
https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01HXUJB2W/ref=cm_sw_r...
Best and sufficient for home
my choice as well.
there was a thread on this topic last month, search you’ll get alot of suggestions.
Im using hindware calisto uv + uf, got for 6k during a sale on fk. It often comes at 7k.
I opened it last month to change membrane, but had to put it back since the membrane housing was a sealed n proprietary one. Its possible to open it though.
This doesn’t have a locking system like Unilever marvella ro.
They lockout after few days, you or the service engineer should open it and press the button in order to operate again. But sure thing you need to observe once on how to open these.
Changing ro membrane on Unilever marvella is easy. Total expenditure is very less if you are doing it yourself.
We used it really well for about 5 years and now it’s our back up ro. Its motor head failed and hence had to buy another.. For many reasons.
Buy a branded one (plastic quality will be better ) with uv (lamps stop working after a while ), if you can change membranes yourself, that’s a great thing.
5 mins back I was on the phone with my friend who lives abroad. He was telling me that they drink tap water and there are no purifiers as the water comes from some lake which is filtered by the local government lol
@ OP please avoid eureka forbes
Thats true for most of Europe, Canada and US. Because their govt does the purification for them and supplies proper drinking water.
OP posted the requirement like asking recommendation for a TV without giving specifics.
Now people looking to buy one would get the terminology but not the context.
So other than OP who are reading this thread and looking for a solution. These are the QA you should tell the WP sales man.
1) tell them the part of city you live.. (helps gauge age of pipes old places because there mixing of sewage and drinking water accidents happens)
2) whether municipal water.
3) insufficient municipal water with water tanker topups.
4) well water or not.
Anybody using AO Smith water purifiers? Please share experience.
I have also had horrible experience with eureka forbes. Would recommend to avoid it as it becomes a headache to get the machine fixed again and again.
if budget is not a constraint and you live in a coastal belt, you can go for the latest atmospheric water purifiers. they generate pure water out of air.
