I want to buy a car on coming month but many people suggested me to buy new car but one of my friend told me buying used car is better as new car means 50% tax & labilities with more fuel cost. Please suggest me in-between New Car vs Used Car ?

what’s your requirement?

How much KM are you expected to run? prime usage? family or solo ride to office? how many years are you planning to keep?

Well, can you narrow it down a bit? With lack of your requirements, the new car is better than an old car on any day because it’s NEW.
If you want a clear resonance, then ask clarifying questions. Like your pocket limit, monthly average use, fuel preference, seating capacity, your living type: city/ rural, …

Or if it’s another non-serious post just to get clicks, the hotness(and eventually karma), then you may ignore my comment.

basically want to buy 4/6 sitter with a budget of 15 lakh max and weekly average journey will be maximum 350 km. I hope this is sufficient data to advise about my query.

Why are you considering a used one with such minimal usage and a decent budget? People on a budget or who like the luxury segment usually choose for a used automobile until someone offers a great deal and personally knows the car’s condition.

i would suggest you to buy new car rather than 2nd hand…..used car is nnot everyone,s cup of tea…in market there are 90% fraud deals for 2nd hand cars……only buy 2nd hand car from some one you know…is in ur circle…or you have seen the car personally…..if you get that…then its good….else….the money you will save in 2nd hand car…you will spend in repairs…and plus mental agony….

i would suggest you to go for ertiga vxi cng….before electric cars get going in full throttle…this is the best buy…as cng will be economical….ertiga has space….easy to find servive centres….no shortage of parts…and even when you sell it…you will get good value

I will always suggest to buy a new car because an old car is not reliable and it will ask for service and maintenance after a few kms whereas a new car will not ask for any maintenance for 2 years if it’s timely service.

My suggestions also new car. I already had 2 used cars. But took it from the known circles and didn’t not face issue. But couple of friends faced multiple issues and their journey never smooth. Had to take it to service center multiple times and spent more than 1.5L for repair in Authorized service center. But every time new issues and finally has to sell for cheap price. Another friend has to change all tyre, front wind shield, alternator and battery. Which costed him out of money and on top of that insurance renewal. Not every one had sweet experience when it’s come to 2nd hand car.

When your budget is 15 lakhs, then why think about old car? Tata Nexon, Altroz, Punch, Breeza, so many options…
