I found below no/low fees ones which offer rupay platinum dc.
1) Bob lite saving account ( no fees if we maintain 3k/2k QAB based on region ).
2) Nsdl jiffy zero balance ( 5.9 Rs per month )
3) Au digital saving zero balance account ( 177 Rs per year )
4) Idfc firstap ( one time fees 99 + gst ).
I got the first 3 recently, You can ask any queries on those.
Thinking of getting idfc. need to check on mab etc.
please add anymore low cost options that u know of .

- Can bob lite account be opened now? I heard that they have halted account opening (bob app is not accepting new registrations as per RBI orders)
- So debit card is free in case of nsdl account? Or does it even have any annual charge apart from monthly charge.
- How soon I will be able to see the card details or I will have to wait till physical card delivery
- Idfc: does it needs any MAB?

Au, Nsdl - No mab, they are zero balance accounts.
2) Yes , it can be opened through bob website, I just opened it 2 weeks back. only bob mobile app on boarding is blocked , this used to give an additional virtual dc . ( 2 cards in total before ) But now you can only get one physical dc. which is still good.
3)Yes , it's free. no charges apart from that 5.9 rs per month
4) Nsdl - it's instant
Au/ Bob - U have to wait till physical card delivery.
Au took about a week and bob took 2 weeks for me for card to be delivered.
5 ) Don't have much info on idfc account. Need to check.
how much discount per month and what categories of txn are eligible for discount ?
20% discount up to 100 on recharge/utility bill payments per card per month .

1) can the account be opened digitally
2)As RBI banned new sign-in for their app is there a way to get virtual only debit card and use the app
3) does any other varient physical card comes with Bob account if yes how to get the platinum rupay version

2) no way to get virtual dc now till ban is lifted.
3)You have option to select rupay platinum dc while applying .
4) Free Rupay Platinum Debit Card subject to maintenance of QAB Rs. 3000 - Metro/Urban Rs. 2000 - Semi Urban Rs. 1000 - Rural *If QAB is not maintained Annual fee on debit card will be applied.
Anyone with a BOB savings account and bob world app can generate a few virtual debit card. there is a high chance they are still issuing rupay plat by default.
I opened my bob sb normally via branch few years ago, generated virtual debit card on app, checked bin to verify its rupay plat. ezpz. I maintain 2.5k bal from a metro City and they don't change anything for virtual debit card
How to check bin of a card? Is it the same as first four numbers?

My IDFC First Tap card shows Available Limit as 0 for online transactions, proceed with caution for opening IDFC first account. MAB is min 10k

Can you share more t&c's for idfc card? will it be issued if one has visa card from them? they "might" make it chargeable each year later idfc is very pathetic when it comes to these nowadays.

App can be used after account opening. It's fully functional. Only onboarding paused. Everything works as expected
In case of BOB, is there any way to hotlist physical card and get virtual card only like by calling CC
Had opened BoB online advantage account about a year ago , 1 free VC + 2 paid DC, 2k MAB, never visited branch but once got a call regarding loan offer from local branch but declined... no issues ever, only the app/nb goes into maintenance mode 11pm to 8am...
DBS Bank also provide rupay platinum debit card, first year free and then 150 rs + gst

I tried to open NSDL account, it is not allowing me. It's saying mobile number and aadhar linked number should be same. Does BOB and AU requires the same? Kindly confirm
Nsdl, Bob , au all need mobile no linked with aadhaar. Do that first then open bank account online easily.

1) i have babo savings account n also world app. How to know what is the variant of my babo 😅 and is it possible to convert to lite?
2) babo app i am trying to generate virtual dc it is saying communication address missing but address is very much there and not changed in last several years 😅 any workaround?
@pingpong ... I would've told you step-by-step process regarding knowing your savings account variant but Bank of Baroda being Bank of Baroda and the typical PSU bank it is, the app has certain functionalities disabled at night, so, can't even access account details
If you already have physical debit card and trying to generate virtual debit card, I've heard somewhere that it doesn't let you go ahead ... so, the workaround that I know of is, to hotlist your existing physical debit card, generate your desired virtual debit card and then again issue physical debit card ... this is advisable only if your physical debit card is LTF else you may be charged issuance fee again
also, can't confirm if this will surely work or not ... I would rather suggest to cross check with other dimers too ... maybe @abhishek012 can throw some light on this
