I don’t believe that any sane judge would accept a defamation case just because Amazon shipped a wrong item, so be it a Pregnancy test kit instead of a shampoo. Anyways, I don’t think the OP was defamed in any way. Only his parents saw what was inside and he can easily prove to them that it is not what he ordered by showing them the invoice attached to the box (which I believe was for the shampoo that was actually ordered) or his order history on the website.

Even if you argue that the OP was still defamed, be it only in front of his parents, amazon could easily prove that it did not defame anyone, since the package was addressed to the OP and should have been received and opened by the OP himself. Also if you try to go forward with just a case of mental harrassment, amazon can simply say that they did not harass anyone, if the customer had contacted them even once, they would have refunded or would’ve shipped the right product again and maybe even compensated a little for inconvenience.It’s just a simple case of wrong shipment, just that the product shipped by mistake is a big taboo in our society.
