I want to have a credit card, my main use will be online shopping and swiping it as pos whenever possible
I am a student but I do file ITR of 2.5-3 lac.
yesterday I asked about that simply save credit card of sbi from my branch and they said I will need to do a fd then only I can get the card and the card limit will be about 70-80% of the fd.
Now I am thinking to get any card which does not require fd and then will take the sbi simply save card(because I heard that its the best for online shopping spends) on card on card basis
so please suggest me best card which I can get from any bank(I will open savings acc there) without salary slip or doing a fd.

Not possible at bank bazaar without CoC
Do you have account in SBI?
Do you have any other credit card? What is the limit of that card?
Minimum 50k limit required for CoC application ,
Don’t say you are student
Say you are self employed
+1 Saying student might have reduced your chances of getting card without FD
Apply as self employed with your itr as proof of income with bankbazaar or paisa bazaar etc, they’ll give you extra amazon gv of 500 or 1k depending on their promo campaign
Shouldn’t be a problem
paisabazaar and other sites simply say I am not eligible for credit card although I select as self employes with 2.65 lac itr filed
Fill in 4lac itr on site. Say everything same.
When agent come to collect docs don’t give itr unless he asks you to do so.
Sbi mostly doesn’t collects itr.
Good Luck.
Get icici credit card Platinum chip against FD. Use for 6 months, it will build your credit score. Then you can apply for sbi simply click via card to card basis
but I wanted to get the first card without fd
as I can get the sbi card with fd, I have that option
I will try that
one update for these who are not employed and want a credit card -
sbi credit card mam said to maintain balance so that my three consecutive quater interest should be above 500 then she can issue me a simply click credit card, I am thinking to do that only as it will not need any fd.
also cards and interest per quater is as
500- simply click
1600- sbi prime card
10,000- sbi elite
now if someone reads this please solve my query
which is better simply click and prime and pls tell me why
thanks
For Online transaction- SBI Simply Click is best..
And what is minimum age to get CC based on Account balance?
Hey Khan, you requirements for cc are bit complex.
My sincere advise is –
1. If you are student, don’t go for cc.
2. As you are saying you are self employed (Is it your part-time ?), If it’s full-time then you try above options genuinely.
And, Reg. your last query I heard that sbi prime is best among all followed by simply click, simply save.
update-
today I applied for hdfc credit card based on itr(2.7 lac)
and bank wale said I will get the card in about 15 days
I will be getting the basic money type of card but the bank wale said that by time according to the transactions, limit used etc.
You got Credit Card based on Account balance/transactions or just ITR?
update-
I received my credit card today and its limit is 25k
although there is a spelling mistake of my name on it
thinking whether I should change it or not
Which card did you finally get?
and yes simply click is indeed better card
I took prime because I was stupid enough to fell for prime cc design
You can call CC to change the card variant if you want…I changed from SimplySave to SimplyClick that way…SimplyClick also costs much less than Prime…
Have got a couple of calls regarding SBI SimplyClick card. I was interested in this after my Apay card application is in limbo from 6 months. But from last 2 months I’ve started getting spend based offers on moneyback card 1000-1500 voucher on only 15k spend. If HDFC delivers on its word then I’ll stick with MB card as I don’t want multiple cards. If they don’t then I’ll have to take a leap of faith & take SimplyClick.
@rogerthat is it possible to modify an auto-renewable FD to increase its amount at the time of maturity so that next time it renews automatically with increased amount.
Apply sbi card from site like bankbazaar you’ll earn extra voucher also.
Don’t worry they won’t ask for FD.
