Will planning to buy in upcoming Amazon/FK sale.
Screen size should be 15.6 inches. no need of pre installed OS since i need to work on Ubuntu i will take of the installation.

i7 8gb model for a guy who will only do his office work is first of all very expensive which is definitely not needed…
i5 HQ is better than or equal to i7 power saving chip. So better go for i5 HQ models

Always go with SSD even its little bit costly also, you can also check for SSD slot and install SSD with cheaper price for OEM SSD.

Guys i have a question.
Do i need to register on Acer India website for warranty of my product?
Don’t know about Acer but I never did.. It helps to already be registered when calling for service. But I have found in india that does absolutely nothing. They will want to verify everything all over again so keep all receipts and boxes around. With some like DELL the serial number shows the warranty and if its in the period they will provide service.
Usually when you register you can avail another year of warranty by paying extra which you can not do other wise.
The service center will also want to see everything to provide warranty service. Even though the serial number provides all such info. It also makes sure the stuff was not stolen.
You won’t get any new model 15.6" SSD enabled laptops in that price range…You can later swap the main 1TB HDD with an SSD or you can also add an SSD by removing the DVD drive…If you don’t know how to do that, Please don’t bother as installing an HDD Caddy is not an easy task for people who are not professionals…Also no company will honor you warranty if you open your case & change/add HDD if you buy a model which requires the total back panel to be opened to change/add HDDs……
You can buy an ASUS Gaming laptop from Amazon…I’m giving you the link below…Don’t go for any other brand except ASUS & Dell in India…These two provide the best quality laptops & after sales services in India…

P.P.S : I know you may not need a gaming laptop but gaming laptop will handle your work jobs far better than normal laptops…You can add more ram later if you feel the need but I think, it will not be required if you only use it for office purposes…You don’t need to spend 50k if you only want to perform office works on it but since you wanted to buy a powerful laptop, I suggested you this because this will handle everything…
