both are in imdb top 100.
hallmark of a good movie is to be relevant for future generations. and both these are very engaging despite being released 35-40 yrs ago

Mars 2016 docu-fiction series by Nat Geo. Good series with in between documentry/infotainment parts which you can skip if you donāt like. 2 seasons, 6 ep each.
Firefly as suggested above is a cult series.
