Captain Vyom is cheesy compared to Hollywood/US tv shows but it is the best scifi series made in India till now in my opinion. I would rather watch Captain Vyom again than watch Ra.One or Robot 2.0.

I have seen some of star trek & seen the star gate movie but not the series but difference shouldn't be much. I have also seen Battlestar Galactica 2004/US version & though it is rated a bit higher than both Star Gate & Babylon 5 I found Babylon 5 more entertaining. In recent times the best scifi series I have seen was Fringe & most likely will see The Expanse next expecting it to be also good. I have also seen original Roswell series(except for last season) & it was more of a teen romance drama with scifi setting but no idea about the latest version(both versions based on novel). Farscape was also good & I have seen it on TV when it was broadcasted but still to see its last season & its epilogue movie(series was cancelled so after fans protest an epilogue movie was made to give a proper ending to series) which I will see in future when time is there. Continuum was also alright but again yet to see its last season.

Stargate is the best of the best Sci-Fic series, I’ve seen in my entire life.

Asgard, Thor, Loki also exist on Stargate series.

Many extraterrestrial races exist Asgard, Goa’uld, Replicators, Ancients (Most Advanced race of humans and now Ancients are Immortal), Ori (Ori have godlike powers), Wraith, Asurans, Nakai, Sekkari (Sekkari are a currently extinct civilization, Tens of thousands of years ago, also the only known silicon-based lifeform in both the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies) on Stargate series.

The people of Earth have encountered numerous extraterrestrial races on their travels through the Stargate. In addition to a diversity of alien life, there is also an abundance of other humans, scattered across the cosmos by advanced aliens in the distant past. Some of the most significant species in Stargate SG-1 are the Goa’uld, the Asgard, and the Replicators.

Stargate: SG-1 series explains the human population in the Milky Way galaxy by revealing that the alien Goa’uld transplanted humans from Earth to other planets for slave labor. Few human races in Pegasus are technologically advanced, as the Wraith destroy any civilization that could potentially pose a threat. There are also large numbers of humans in the Ori galaxy, where they empower the Ori through worship.

Stargate: Universe show is set on the Ancient ship Destiny, which is established as a part of an Ancient experiment to seed the universe with Stargates millions of years ago and investigate a groundbreaking discovery they made pertaining to the origins of the universe. The Destiny itself was intended to follow a pre-programmed course to explore these galaxies, but was left unmanned and lost at the time of the Ancients’ ascension. Show also “focus on exploration and adventure – and, by extension, the occasional alien encounter as well”.

Stargate: The Ark of Truth & Stargate: Continuum are 2 separate movies, Stargate: SG-1 series ending explain here on 2 movies, how humans defeated Ori (godlike power alien race) & the Goa’uld.
