I thought poco was suppose to be the cheapest
Should launch maximum around INR 40k mark?
Edit: Checked the weight and its a dealbreaker. I would rather put up with a notch/punch-hole whatever if a pop-up cam adds this much to the device weight.
1200nits for a phone is an overkill unless you spend most of your day under the sun
Good specs but costly phone..won’t work for Indian market
Most probably will be around 30k in India, if launched.
European prices are always the costliest.
There’s reportedly a ~$75 pricing delta between SD855 ~USD53 and SD865~USD70 due to the latter requiring an external 5G modem ~$25 and 5G antennas ~$35(besides additional licensing fees per chip common to both). That plus the switch to OLED. It would be surprising if its priced below Rs 35k.
I think in India price will start at 30k
Poco should just launch a SD 855+ phone as Poco F2 at around 28-30k, with better overall features and performance as compared to One Plus 7 series, while under-cutting its price. With launch and bank offers, at around 25k mark, it will continue being the affordable flagship level phone.
They can launch a Pro model with 865 and other bells and whistles at >35-40k. Will serve both category of buyers.
This obsession with SD 865 (alongwith increased GST and free falling rupee) is really driving up the prices of affordable flagships, because of the 5G, which is anyway a waste in India for the next few years.
By name it’s pro but still doesn’t have the following :
1)Optical image stabilization
2)90hz display
3)Stereo speakers
One plus 7t has all of the above 3 things. 5g is not needed at the moment.
Samsung S10 lite & Note 10 lite have OIS which helps in no blur night photography.
30-35k probably
Most Poco enthusiasts don’t have budget above 30k. And those have will prefer more established tier 1 brands. Atleast 1 variant will be there below 30k for sure.
Have come across some comments on twitter that this will be launched as Redmi K30 Pro in India..?
If they want to price it at around 35k, they would rather sully the Redmi Name then the Poco Name
Yes, they will sell k30 by the name of poco f2 pro
