Hi Folks,
Can anyone confirm what is the last date for getting a high security number plate for NCR region ?
Also which option is the best to get one ?
Has anyone tried https://www.bookmyhsr...m/ ?
Is it necessary to book a slot with your dealer from where the car was purchased or I can pick any random nearby dealer to get this done ?

Looks like our govt is trying to create employment by enforcing such nonsense rules (as they are not able to do anything else on this employment front other than chai, samosa ideas).. In a country like ours, HSRP makes no sense IMO. Vehicle theft will not be prevented by this. Thieves will be more ingenious than just some number plate. And I don’t see any other benefit over this. This will just turn into another means for harassment by the traffic cops (like how they are doing it in BLR these days.. if you don’t find anything wrong, they start off on the number plate and claim you don’t have the legal ones.. only few know that it is not compulsory for old vehicles).

This article states that from now onwards all vehicles that have been sold before April 2019.should possess HSRP.
Recently my bike was flagged down by a traffic cop in bangalore and asked me to change my 2012 registered bike’s number plate to a HSRP one.
I can’t seem to find any details about it on Karnataka RTO portal. Anyone from bangalore who have changed their number plate to HSRP OR know where it can be done ?

update :- so i have heard from my friend that bangalore traffic cops are imposing a fine of 500 rs for non-HSRP number plate for bikes. The traffic cop who flagged down my bike had checked for old fines and when no fines were there, he let me go without paying anything. My friend told me that In JC road, bangalore (wholesale bike spares shops market), HSRP with frames are around 600 (can bargain for 400-450). I had it done locally in nearby shop in bangalore north for 450 rs (without frame)..
I just booked with the above website. It is not necessary to get it from the dealer which you used to buy the vehicle. You can select any dealer.
