I had read about it but was unable to find if there's real benefit of this... Have idbi account as well as high premium lic policy, easily eligible for higher variant but why should I?

PS - is there any cibil hit or a secured card against our policies?

Shame. I have tried this with IDBI at least 3 times, but they've always asked to speak with LIC, and LIC staff is generally clueless. I'll try again maybe.

benefit beside bigbasket ?

As i see from your  previous post we get 2X delight points i.e 8 points on 100rs spends for LIC premium payments. (equivalent to 2%) This much we already get from Apay Icici and other good cards. Is there anything i am missing here? Any additional advantage for LIC premiums? @abhishek012

@neo13 told me, he got the number of area managers, not agent. So he’ll ask him tomorrow whether he is comfortable to share his number.

He also told me, manager said that he’ll share pdf of application and you have to send the filled form to his address.

Well, i am not recommended anyone to send your personal document to anyone unless he sends you email from IDBI or LIC official email address or atleast you can ask the manager for any enquiry, apply process etc.

These cards have very well defined criteria about profession and income. Self employed people with 12lac itr can apply for eclat... LoL

Also just check the eligibility page on official site, seems only the whitest of the white are allowed to pass through the strainer.

so on bigbasket if your spend at a time is <Rs 1500 u get 0% discount

instead try simpl wallet for 10% 

or Bigbasket DSB debit card for 10% 

and now bigbasket have no min. purcahse req. like jiomart i mostly order daiily veg fresh and its like 100-200 for multiple time a month 

much better approach for bigbasket is to get Rupay plat debit ->amazon bal 20%->+bigbasket gift voucher 3% = 23% discount with no min purchase req.

It is a fabricated heaven made to entice or appease top level or cream layer of population and lic investors and I suspect, this is also to fulfill the dreams of lic babus and big agents. It is just designed that way, just check eligibility criteria. Nothing else in this plastic piece, I give this a pass with smelly fart....

I spoke to the LIC Cards Regional Head (Eastern) Mr. Tathagata C. I showed my interest. As per his description, its still being catered to the LIC employees, not yet open to the policy holders.

Somehow all the lic cards are too bad in rewards. They should at least give 5% on insurance payments. These days it is quite easy to get 3% and with some planning 6-7% or even more.
