Refurbished K20 Pro sold as New(Maybe)
https://www.flipkart.com/search?q=redmi+k20+pro...
I had ordered the phone during the Big Billion Sale, from seller Flashstar Commerce. I have received it, and noticed that it has two Quality Check pass stickers pasted on the phone seal. That was unusual for me. I searched about it over the internet, and found similar cases. Claiming that it is a refurbished one.
C4ETech retwitted it – https://twitter.com/C4ETech/status/118194866246...

Mi said that it is due to a random quality check – https://twitter.com/MiIndiaSupport/status/11819...
The phone is working fine, yet. What do you think, is this normal? Should I opt for a replacement?

its a random qc test. everyone does this.
I was and am curious about the overall quality of the phone after seeing the sticker. After seeing even C4ETech retwitted it, I am more now.
Visit Mi Service center
bribe the guy @ the service desk and get the mobile activation date (some will give this info directly)
If it is same as yours, then everything is fine
And ignore C4Etech, geekyranjit or whoever.. this is festival time, everything has a benefit
Thank you so much for this. I searched for authorized service centers, and found one nearby. Called them, they asked me for the IMEI number, which I told. He confirmed that it was re-purchased/refurbished one. He said it was purchased on 27th September, whereas the invoice date of my phone is of 3 days before. Now I’ll try to get a replacement. This makes me very angry on Flipkart.
Wow always flipkart.. i also dont want puchased from flopkart but i wanted redmi note 7 pro.. no choice i bought with all the offers and mobile exchange.. of j7 prime… I was going to get 4900 for replacement.. but when delevry came he cheked and reduce price to 1200 or something.. that was not acceptable.. my phone was only without dent.. maybe some scratches etc.. that he founted in body damage.. so i didnt gave … Finlaly paid 11k to get phone.. too much idiots in fk.. it is wrost than old time fixed replacement..and redmi idiot always choose fk for major phones.. amazon is way better amazon can sell much device than fk..
Flipkart has become so bad now a days. Not good for high value items.
ask for compensation , frighten them with law suit, this is serious
defrauding the public openly
Sure, will do.
I have yet no problem with the phone, but Flipkart selling or encouraging selling it as a brand new phone is pure cheating.
Major Update:
After a visit to the Authorized Service Centre which I had called before, he again checked the phone in front of me with my IMEI number. He still said that it was purchased on 27th September 2019. After that I had called the Manager for suggestions on what should I do about it. The manager had a check, and said that the date given by the executive is the Warranty date and not the purchase date. It seems that they are both different from one another, the warranty date is the date provided by the seller and it’s always few days before the invoice date, depending upon the seller it varies on time period. I also checked the dates of my old Mi phone there to verify this, and it was true. After that I wanted to know if this sticker is normal for all phones, turns out it is. I visited a Mi store nearby and asked for the K20 Pro(poor guy came running). I saw two variants, one with the sticker and one without it. The one with the sticker had manufacturing date as September 2019(same as mine), the one without it was August 2019. I assume they made some changes in the manufacturing process from September onwards.
That stupid executive kept me sleepless for a night, I even started planning a payback time case against Flipkart. What’s more interesting is that the same variant of my phone is currently available at Rs. 25,500 in cash, and 10% extra on HDFC bank cards. Plus an assured gift from Mi during the Diwali sale.
Okay then, relax now.
But I think If you buy from mi.com then Purchase & warranty date will be same.
I remember dell also started my laptop warranty before my purchase date. But when I registered it, It extended to 365 days from day of purchase so I got full 1 year.
In this case also, if your warranty expiry date in system is gone but you have bought it in last 365 days then you’re eligible for warranty on showing original invoice.
so did flipkart reselling returned phone ?
Read the topic and follow-up, then comment.
I will suggest to get it replaced. Even more peaceful sleep.
khoda pahad nikli gilheri
yes import date/month mentioned on the box of my laptop was the warranty start date, but after showing the invoice my laptop warranty changed to original purchase date
its normal. bekar ki bawal mach raha hain
