Reliance’s JioCinema said to start charging for content by the end of IPL
Viacom18's JioCinema plans to bulk up on content with more than 100 films and TV series to its platform to take on global biggies such as Netflix and Walt Disney, but this will come at a cost for consumers. In an interview to Bloomberg, Reliance's media and content business President Jyoti Deshpande said the expansion will coincide with JioCinema starting to charge for content, though the exact pricing strategy is still being finalised.
The content addition will be rolled out before the end of IPL on May 28. Viewers can watch matches for free until then, she said.

it's better if they merge voot with jio cinema, as i dont think it is worth buying subscripton for jio cinema...ipl lovers may pay but heard their system lacks quality and in the peak (fifa, ipl) it crashes.

Not his supporter but Dont know why people complain about ambani. He is a bissinessman and expanding his bussiness, thats it. He is not forcing us to use his services. We have alternatives too but rather than using those alternatives few start targetting them.
Jst from memory still jio is the cheapest , when future retail was about to collapse reliance came to save (although it failed ) and so more.
Few days ago when tata was in talks to buy bislery everyone said they are expanding. But same when campa cola was bought by reliance it was termed monopoly.
