Do you know if you are buying a product of worth ₹ 100 then you might be actually spending ₹ 169.

How :

  1. To buy a product worth ₹ 100 you need to give 18 ₹ GST. So, you need total 118 ₹.
  2. To spend ₹ 118 you should earn ₹169 by paying 51 tax.
  3. So technically your are paying extra ₹ 69 =  51 income tax +  18 (18% gst).

(assuming you are in 30% tax bracket)

We’re paying probably highest amount of taxes in the world ( Check the tax rates in top  developed countries) yet not getting half as decent free government services like education or health care.

Wonder how government is building their new Delhi Palace  Central Vista.

you should know govt spends over 100 cr for MP stays in top hotels along with their staff
now with new infrastructure, this cost goes down drastically
on the other side in this covid time, it produces thousands of jobs for needy an poor ( those who do not beg ) since the majority of poor people in India are reduced to Beggars by Manrega ( dig well, again and again, drink peg/ bottle )
this is need of the hour
btw old building now need too much for upkeep

I am in that 30 pct bracket and I know how to feels to pay such hefty tax !! And get next to nothing in return.. All I see is pathetic infrastructure every where… !! My hometown is riddled with potholes and I am frustrated the moment I get on the roads !!

I asked CA about reducing tax .. she says you are working class and u don’t have any option unlike business ppl…. just pay tax and move on.. or invest in nps and all…

I am kind of a person who doesn’t believe in saving to njoy returns after another 40 yrs.. !!

And hefty taxes on everything when we want to spend as well !!

Utter non sense…

If 100 30pct bracket wale had picked a shovel n cared to spend some time then 90% of the potholes would have been repaired yet.

It was a weird statement. I wont make anyone victim here. The problem here is average. For example if you earn 5, I earn 1, some earn 3, then average becomes 3. If I am earning 0, then average becomes 2.66.

People are earning money. That’s great. But majority of the citizens have to earn money too. But most of them are not that privileged. So, most of the tax payers’ money goes for their welfare.

So, people must understand these things and should start actively contributing towards environment around us. This is the only logical solution.

After seeing this in India we pay much lower marginal tax – 30+18%, compared to other countries. Yes we can debate on facilities provided but we can’t do anything

Same can be found in other areas like public amenities or   Free Health care

Taxes can be compared with foreign counter parts only and only there are such good infrastructure and services also.
For now india is only good for taxes plus extra corruption everywhere.

Think about this ….

Quit your Job/Earning source, Stay homeless …Govt/NGO will give some money on regular basis along with Food , One will have ample time to explore new places/cities everyday, no restriction to stay at one place or city.. get all benefit of EWS (Kids will have good chances to get admission into good schools/colleges via reservation)

Most importantly you wont need to Buy that Rs100 product and thus no need to pay Rs18(GST) or Rs51(Income tax)…saving hi saving

You have to pay tax for KISAAN so that they get free money, free electricity, free fertilizer, permission for permanent air pollution else they will come on roads forever and you will not do anything because most of the people are mute supporters of so called अन्नदाता. blush

Yes. We are paying so much taxes that our kissan as Anna Daata are committing suicide in large numbers that government is even afraid to count ( almost since half a decade)…

BTW for various reasons including Kissan Bill they are already on the streets, quite literally.
