Getting the usual offer to buy Royal Sundaram Accident Insurance policy when getting a sbi cc so is it worth taking considering the very low annual fee.

Actually sbi bank customer care is not much different, I once had issue with yono amazon cashback & the way sbi bank customer care handled that was even worse than sbi card customer care.

Got the card today. 25k limit & an offer to get 2000 reward points on spending 2k within 60 days. Will this spending of 2k within 60 days give me 2000 points in total or usual points for transactions+2000 bonus points?

Does really SBI offer pre approved CC offer based on Savings A/c balance? For 500 quarterly interest we need to maintain 73k in account with 2.75 interest.
But my Mama(Brother of my mother) have more than 10 lac FD, 5 lac above investment in SBI Mutual fund and 20-30k savings account balance but never got any credit card offer.

Fd doesn’t count I think, only savings acc balance which should be 1 lakh+. It also depends on branch.e.g.if you have ever shown interest in getting credit card when visiting branch but then either refused saying credit card seem complicated or taken a low limit card against FD then after 4-5 months the branch card people depending on how many credit cards they issued may give you a call to complete their target. At that time you will have to fill the form as self employed(make up some company name, I prefer consultant as it can be a one man company with some description like tech support etc) but they won’t ask you for income proof/ITR because your savings acc history is enough to prove you are not poor/can pay cc bills which is the most important thing. Of course having a good cibil score also helps.
