The BPCL SBI credit card OCTANE has a 6.25% reward rate for all BPCL spends including Bharat Gas spends. Other than this, it also gives good rewards for Dining, Departmental Stores, Grocery & Movies category spends. This makes it easy to achieve the required spends for an annual fee waiver.

Looks like a waste if one has no need of it for fuel. If someone using it for fuel then it will be a good news having it in rupay, they can get 0.25% on UPI transactions

2 questions-
(1) Is the discount valid on franchise stores also? The BPCL outlet opposite my home comes as their shop name in transactions (for example I did not get the CRED BPCL cashback)
(2) Can we double dip using UPI - 0.25% for upi transactions and 6.25 card cashback?

How is this card in comparison to tata neu infinity?
Looking for rupay variant only.
Purpose - Upi small vendor transactions, using limited tata apps like 1mg, bigbasket and tata play max 3000-4000 per month in total, BPCL pump in vicinity with expenses 5000-8000.
Both cards will be paid. Tata neu will be first year free.

Do All BPCL pumps reward this card, I thought there was a list of bunks that reward. Do a bit of homework and if it works at your area/ or all areas, it's a decent card.
