The most interesting hobby I picked up lately is challenging myself every month to try something new but the condition is, it should be challenging enough for me.
I picked up this idea last year after watching Matt Cuttās Ted Talk. Here is the link if anyone wants to watch.

After watching the talk, I was inspired to develop new habits and challenge myself to somehow destroy some of the unhealthy habits.
The idea is simpleā¦ try something new but challenging enough to do it for 30 days. Now, I do this every month, I setup a challenge for myself every month and I try to keep up with my promise. I have been doing this from last year and interesting thing is that it inspired my wife to start her challenges. She took her first challenge in Dec, 18.
So here is what I did in the last few monthsā¦
For example, last month I challenged myself to give up any packed processed food for a month. Packed foods like biscuits, namkeen, chocolates, packed juices, frozen foods etc. Which I successfully completed. My wife too. It was not easy but I believe my digestive system thanked me for the whole month of Dec.
In Nov, I challenged myself to wake up early in the morning at 6 every day. I followed it through except for a couple of days when I drank enough and didnāt wake up early the new morning. And that made me realize that soon I should start a challenge to give beer up for a month but so far I am pushing it to the end of the list. 
Before that, I challenged myself to go to gym every day. Didnāt follow it through, only went for 10 days. 
Before that, I challenged myself to sleep before 11 PM daily. I couldnāt follow it for the whole month due to the nature of my business. I do freelancing and 90% of my clients are US based so sometimes I have to talk to them late in the night.
In last Jan, I challenged myself to walk daily. I have been following this hobby the whole last year. I started from 1 km per day and now I go for 6-7 kms.
I also challenged myself for very small things likeā¦
- Once I gave up outside food for a month
- Another month I started eating a seasonal fruit every day which was a big thing for me because I donāt eat fruits very often.
- Another month I made up my mind to drink at least 6 Ltrs of water per day. It was a great experience because after that I felt a little more energetic and I felt more healthy. I have been doing this since then but the downside is, I have to go to pee 8-10 times a day. But itās totally worth it.
I have a big challenge for this month, I am giving up biting my nails for 30 days. I know itās impossible but I will do my best. Even if I have to put a doctorās tape on my fingertips.
I hope it inspires some of you to pick up a challenge for yourself.

Wow! thats inspiring! I also pushed myself to give up processed food like those yummies frozen chicken nuggets and french fries and started drinking 6 ltrs of water with a helpful little reminding app.
Tho gave up on early morning walks bcz some chain snatchers punched me and snatched my chain (which was a cute silver chain with a flower locket gifted by my mom).
Nowadays I keep walking around in circles in my home backyard or hostelās in evening.

My hobby is to observe different things and do some research in my own way. It could be anything like new inventions, health related problems, any issue posted on DD etc. which appeals me and makes me curious to know more. I like to know more about things even if they are not related to me in any way.
Smoking cigarettes.
My hobby is watching movies, primarily Bollywood ones.
After watching I also read every review of the movie (to see if the reviewerās thoughts match with mine 
)
Apart from that, I also read about the people involved in the making of the movie, movie trivia, making of videos among other things

My hobbies include many things like playing games,making games,watching movies,creating VFX for fun.
I like playing games mainly fps like tomb raider,uncharted,pubg. I like it from very long time. I think now every body does a little gaming thanks to android.
I picked up making games recently and want to see if I can create somethings I imagined and will others like it the way I am.
Because of making games I started in 3D and that got me into some VFXā¦Its just for fun.
And movies & series I think everybody has that at-least in common hobbies I think.After JIO I have started watching too much. Ahhh I should reduce but I get back after 2-3 daysā¦

some time in other WhatsApp deals groups, social networking, watching Cricket, reading Newspapers Editorials for best understanding of Indian politics and current Affairs ā stock market stuffs and I do spend my time with my kid which gives a lot of refreshment and positive energy to get rid of the tensions of my daily job
To be honest, I am not well known to myself. In other words, I still havenāt discovered my passion and hence, myself.
So, if doing something that gives your immense pleasure is the definition of a āhobbyā, I have many. I have used all of them to make money too.
The list would include teaching, writing about random things (only to keep them to myself), motivating others even when I am in depression, and enjoying being an attention seeker.

I have a single hobby āto make my wife happyā because if she is happy, my life will automatically be happyā¦ My parents will be happy and moreover every moment of the life will be happyā¦ If I am happy by doing this, automatically all my hobbies which will be discoverd as the life progress will be enjoyed fullyā¦

Hobbies (read time-pass) kept changing for me. Back in 2000s it was playing cricket (in real ground), cards (fish) and even ludo (Lol). I was about 12 back then.
Then starting from 2003 and onwards I started playing computer games, you know the early Quake, Roadrash ones, and that got me. I got addicted to them so so much that I would skip tuition to hit cyber cafes and play those games, and multi-player had the craze, like Soldier of Fortune, Counter Strike etc., and as I started to become good at them, the addiction became more intense, LoL. And now, even after more than a decade, that addiction is somewhat still there. My favourite time-pass is still playing computer games :/ At highest possible quality my rig can output, you know them Tomb Raider series, Far Cry, GTA etc., and I still play CS: S online, LoL.
Other than that, I am sort of an Android geek. So I try to help the newcomers online (XDA, reddit etc.) as much as I can. This is another favourite time-pass of mine. Started back in 2004 with Howardforum community, and been continuously doing so. Love helping the people, LoL.
And about real life, Iām connected with three children organisations. Where I give a tiny amount of donation, to help those little children, the orphans as we label them. Iām extremely sensitive to children by the way.
Another time-pass is watching films, LoL. Love watching them Hollywood movies (and tv series too), at DTS-HD 5.1
Also, I am an avid watch collector. Iāve got into these automatic watches after I bought my first automatic (Omega), and since then the craftsmanship amazed me all along. So I kept studying about them, a lot, but as those watches are insanely expensive, canāt really buy a lot, but still managed few Omegas, but I keep on reading about the new technologies coming along in automatic watches era always, thanks to the WUS community members for helping me though, really good people.
So those would be my time-passes, playing games, helping people online as much as I can (and in real life), watching movies, reading about watches etc. Havenāt got into reading books yet, but planning to, soon.
PS: As someone mentioned photography above, recollection of memory occurred. Was a photographer back in 2005 and continued till 2008 or something. Then simply couldnāt carry on with those heavy DSLRs, so left it. In any case, one of the best possible hobby, what a lovely thing.

First of all, a very Happy New Year 2019 to all of you!!! 
Coming back to the main subject of this thread / post:
a) Online Surfing, Online Shopping, Grabbing online / offline deals and loot offers etc. have become my hobby these days. I have joined several Whats-app and Telegram Deals related Groups which help me to fulfill my hobby. Further, needless to mention that I actually follow Desidime on daily basis. I have already subscribed for Desidime Whats-app Notification since long back. Further, Desidime App is also installed in my mobile. So Desidime also plays a vital role in fulfilling my this hobby.
b) Being a Chartered Accountant (CA) by profession, I like doing savings and investments. Following Stock i.e. Share Market on all the working days by doing short term as well as intraday trading is also one my hobbies.
c) Singing is what I like to do a lot. Many people also praise me and appreciate my voice. They are of the opinion that I can sing almost like all the famous Bollywood singers like Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan and so on. And honestly speaking, I too do agree with their opinion on the same. Although I believe that this talent of nice voice / nice singing is a God Gift and thus lesser credit can be given to me since God is more responsible for the same. I do sing on regular basis on my Karaoke system installed at my home. Needless to mention that the Karaoke system was bought by me online only through PaytmMall.
d) Watching and Playing Cricket is all time my favorite hobby since my Childhood. Honestly, if I was not a Chartered Accountant (CA), then I would have done something in the field of Singing or Cricket!!! Thus, I would have been a singer or cricketer today. But I also like being a part of one of the noble professions like Chartered Accountant (CA).
e) Last but not the least, being Chartered Accountant (CA), I like to write tax related articles. Many of my Income Tax, GST related Articles get published on regular basis in Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Journals, Newspapers like Maharashtra Times (MATA), Sakal, Very Famous Tax publication āVyapari Mitraā and obviously on online e-commerce platform as well like esakal.com etc. websites as well.

I can spend almost whole day on my mobile browsing online shopping sites and deals. If i would have enough money, i can shop lots of things from online stores.

My main favourite hobby is crafting.. I am into crocheting, jewellery making, sewing and other crafts like making dreamcatchers and beaded keychains..
I started this journey when I was 13years old.. my grandma started teaching me how to stitch and the basics of crochet.. she lent me all the tools she had.. I used to practise everyday.. And from then there was no stopping me..
I never got a big pocket money to buy the supplies, so I used to collect beads and jewellery bits n reuse them for my craft projects. I got so good at crafting that I thought of making it as a means to earn some extra cash.
I make and sell my crafts through my Facebook and Instagram page named Ekuttamkalpana (my mom n dadās name, combined).. more than a means of earring money, my hobby is a stress buster n a way of over-coming depression after losing my dad..
Hence I suggest everyone to have 3 kinds of hobbies:
1. A hobby to stay stress free,
2. A hobby to stay fit, and
3. A hobby which can help u financially.
Other than crafting, I also love dancing and working out.
Well my hobby is āTo Find Peaceā let it be in any sense like sleeping (which i love 
) walking in woods/ greens while listening natural voices of birds or water (definitely not easy to find in normal life now a days), trying to see smile on others faceā¦ These all things gives Peace or i should say āInner Peaceā. 
& u just canāt forget music, i think no hobby is complete without music

I cud say playing cricket was my hobby too but when your all friends are away then it is of no use

Well i personally feel this habit of desidime is not at all good for me but it has become addiction, which also started from a hobby only.
There is a lot to write but i feel this much is also enough for the day
