Shouldn't desidime start giving dimes for good discussion posts as well.
I have came across many posts here on DD where OP has really worked hard to share some valuable insights with the users of DD.
We get dimes when deals are posted but nothing when we post discussions sharing valuable information.
It takes time and energy to post such long and informative discussion.
Also, Admins shouldn't forget that just deal posters are not the reason for DD user base and engagement.
We also drive users here on DD, so DD should share some part of it's profit in form of dimes with us. It will encourage discussion posters like us.
Look at these post, OP has done a really great job. Post like this must be appreciated.

If Spamming occurs with repeated same content, then algorithm of heat detection for post has to be changed. (when that situation arises due to over crowding in platform)
btw internet is full of content -> but the point is how that content is organized by many people makes the post worthy (not every copy paste works, as forum is not blog) , blog is done by one, but thread is done by many:) so dumping content wont work without PARTICIAPTION OF PEOPLE IN THE FORUM
not every content copy pasted in a forum will work, forum is not news channel of repeated content (it can be but its not everything)

but everywhere there will be people/admin/mods who will link copycatted post with their similar old existing threads saying duplicate and merge so thats not really an issue,
as more discussion people make, the platform will thrive with more people

The one is who is original doesn't care about dimes primarily. Recognition is important, rather than Dye-Ms primarily in virtual world. In real world, opposite of it till saturation and then there also same principle applies. It's just you want more dopamine. Never ending process.

So if you ask me i will put my own idea which maybe not be in the view of management here, so management has to decide not me (I suggested -> worthy for DD, important for DD platform and seasonal to current time ...as in just an example).
I just suggested that example as a way to reward discussion posters for poster commitment / engagement:) like a competition game to get DD more attention and more engagement
hmm i get the logic, as long as there is indirect benefit from signups , click outs and payouts using affiliate marketing, then DD management can share part of that earned reward in the form of dimes which is perfectly right:)
I understand it:) discussion dont earn anything for DD except marketing so no use to reward, but if deals are posted then DD will get affiliate marketing earning and there by reward is split to deal owners:)
As post dont earn anything except popularity of DD on internet, but dont earn anything for DD in monetary way directly or indirectly, so its not wise to reward discussion in point of management which is fine,
all the things i suggested was based on context of small competition game incorporated into post/discussion to get engagement in topics more, which may help in marketing of DD, in someway in future i hope:)

PAY UPFRONT - CAUTION DEPOSIT of some monetary value to DD for every Discussions post. If post is purely original with valuable inputs, suggestion, helpful for other dimers etc - then get back your deposit and earn dimes. In-case, post is copy-pasted from other sources, compilation from different comments within DD, spamming will end-up losing your deposit money. Those who are helping for identifying such-cases (doing investigation about originality of the post and in-case proven post is against mentioned rules/general DD rules) then those Dimer also get part of the reward as Dimes for his valuable contribution for identifying Fake, spam posts etc..
Its Win-Win-Win for DD, Dimers, OP

but just adding one info:) NOTHING IS ORGINAL:) alphabets are created by someone in history and now we are using that alphabets to frame sentences:)
so here the content of alphabet IS REUSED but sentense is made up by the person who uses the copy pasted alphabet from history xD
so nothing is original:) which is why it is best to look at efforts and INTENTION OF THE POSTER rather than copy pasted content, because nothing is unique:) everything is an INVENTION ONLINE NOT DISCOVERY:)
no offense but just explaining the basic concept of originality when its really not there:) IN INTERNET:) originality is just the effort of a team or person, content is always same , which is called Invention not DISCOVERY:)

No, DD will end up like reddit and other communities. Most users will spam a discussion to earn dimes without even using a search option.
