Hi Dimers,

So I stumbled across this website https://slicei...m/ known as SlicePay which issues full fledged LTF credit card even to those who don’t have any credit score. Also it reports everything to cibil like a regular bank does; So I was just thinking won’t this card be a boon to those people who don’t have any cibil score and want a CC ? They can start with this CC and once they get a decent score, they can apply for their choice of CCc as usual !!!
I mean our general piece of advice for beginners is to start with a secured cc and then move on once we get a decent score, but here this sounds better… or am I missing something ?

Not for us.
It’s more like a loan account with credit card level interest rates.

It’s much better to have a secured cc.

btw, i have no trust for these startups offering credit cards in exchange of credit profiling.

Waow, their TnC made me throw up… The more I read, the more it got darker (much like my lovestory with my Ex)

Since you mentioned credit profiling, would you mind sharing your views on onecard. I applied Yesterday and now bit skeptical about it. Though idfc first bank has partnered with fpl technologies for this card but the information they’re seeking makes me wonder.

Yes, i view oneCard in same league.
They are fetching detailed cibil report that contains full credit card number. It’s not difficult to guess the expiry date from same report.
In international transactions, cvv doesn’t matter, many dimers have reported.

IDFC is a full fledged bank and certainly following regulations. But, these startups; they are going to be slaughter houses for privacy rules —that’s my prediction.

It’s a credit card that’s for students and nonsalaried people who don’t have credit score so banks won’t give them card. I looked at the app reviews and they are mostly positive.
Like you said it seems it can be used to build credit score and then apply for bank cards.
However you should be careful to pay off EMI’s / bill on time to not get interest charges.
