Hi Guys need help regarding Standard Chartered Credit Card,
Which will be more beneficial , please suggest.
Below options are available right now.
Titanium credit card with 5% cash back on petrol, telecom and utility bill payments, and reward points on other categories
OR
Platinum Rewards with 5x rewards points for every INR 100 spent
Cards usage will be only for SC CC specific offers, If any additional benefit then also good,
as wont be spending much on it.
But still interested to know which one of these can provide more value in terms of RP
And any idea on the Lounge Access on Both The Cards ?

Lots of ifs and buts for SVT. Better go for rewards.. the 5% cashback has lots of tnc..
Go for the manhattan one for grocery.
No idea about Standard Chartered cards but yes do read their T&C carefully as I think it is indeed not simple.
I do not have SCB cards.
Pick the one which LTF or cheap as u would use it only for offers.
“Platinum Rewards with 5x rewards points for every INR 100 spent” I do not see this mentioned anywhere on SCB website
Its “Earn 5 reward points for every INR 150 spent on dining and fuel with no monthly cap on the rewards earned using this rewards credit card.”
I was a standard chartered titanium user, but stopped using it for thinking reasons.
1. Fuel cashback is on max 4000 or 5000 value.
2. Bill payment cashback is only if pay via SCB bill pay Portal.
3. My credit limit is 25000 since ten years (they don’t increase it, no late payments ever)
Any card with zero charges on fuel transactions on all pumps in India ?
I feel Cashback on Fuel is on any amount below 2000 / day or may be / payment
and for achieving a limit of 4000 we need fuel spends of 80K or 1 Lakh , which i
feel is pretty rare to achieve for a Person with Limited Fuel spends
No Card With Zero Charges , Paytm Has Zero Charges and Widely Acceptable (No idea what happened to the trend of Mobile radiation causing fire outbreak in Petrol Pumps)
They have stopped giving LTF cards
@beastboy If you are just looking for SCB specific offers as the sole reason then I suggest don’t go for it. If you are able to reach the spend limit to waive of the annual charges then go for any card which ever you think is the best for you according to your spend with a max annual charges of 1k. Usually most prefer manhattan card.
Note: They no longer provide LTF cards
@beastboy I would suggest not to go for these cards unless it’s provided LTF; reason being: your reason for getting is only for bank specific offers, which means you surely will not be able to get the annual fee waived off. Paying 799-999 for a card that you hardly use on a specific occasion is a waste; better skip it, StanC offers ain’t that common, also dimers can always lend you once in a while.
Haan Bhai Lena Hai To LTF warna nahi..
islye pehale se hi Details Jama Kar raha hu
I have manhattan card, 750 per annum.
I use this card only in Metro for 5% cashback
Thanks For the Info Bro..
Next Time Meko bi Metro Mall Leke Chalna…
Suna Hai Saaman Bohat Sasta Milta Hai Waha..
They used to give LTF cards left and right at one time. I think now they have stopped.
Platinum Rewards doesn’t even have fuel surcharge waiver.
What about Manhattan Card… Is it better than Titanium and Platinum Rewards
@luciferous @AppleFan @ontherocks
On the SC website i couldn’t find the points monetary conversion values
and also the complete rewards structure
It is a good card if you are going to use it mainly for grocery and departmental stores shopping as it gives 5% cashback and 3x reward points when you spend.
what about Fuel and online spends on Amazon and Fk bro
and this 3x rewards on which spends and what is the monetary value of each RP
The cashback applicable on min. transaction of 1000 or more. Max cashback of 500 is allowed
every month and of 150 per transaction
3X on all other spends per 150. Value of each point ranges from ~0.25 depending on what you redeem for
@ OP, I have the Platinum Rewards & since the last few months SCB is getting tied up with lots of merchant sites & sometimes even on Amazon also, offers are running for SCB cards…I have the card like since 6-7 months & they increased my card limit in just 3 months & I didn’t even make much purchases with it..Only a few Zomato & Swiggy orders of couple hundred bucks & that’s it & they increased the cash limit to almost 7 times than what they gave to me initially alongwith the CC limit increase..I don’t use any CC to withdraw cash from ATMs & will highly suggest everyone not to do it but having high limits for both feels nice…I have cards from all top banks of India (OneCard also got approved today after contacting their CEO ) and I never seen any other bank giving an LE in the first 3 months itself without even spending 2000/- on the card…
Both the Titanium & Platinum Rewards are low-end cards though with no lounge access…SCB is very aggressively promoting their cards now…Earlier I didn’t get so many offer emails but now they are partnering with many brands & sites… : )
Thanks for Sharing the Experience…
Still I Want to know what prompted you to take the card.. even though SC was not partenering with websites when you took the card
I have platinum rewards credit card from many years. Only plus point of keeping it is LTF otherwise it’s total useless. Rarely I get any offers. I am recommending APay card over this…..
Mine is on chargeable basis…They charges joining fees of 250+GST & also charge the same for annual…How did you get it LTF ?? Do you have account in SCB, any salary account or maybe you are a very long time customer with them & I have heard this too that they remove the fees for their old & loyal customers…
They send most offers in the emails…Also all the SCB Card related offers are applicable for all the cards…So, you can even take the benefits of the same card offers provided to their high-end card owners with your card also…Keep checking the site’s offer section time to time if you are not getting much offer emails from them…Maybe they send less offers to the customers who are holding LTF cards & more offers to people where it’s chargeable…Not sure though…
I have platinum rewards card as LTF! Taken 4 years back. Not recommend. Keeping that with me just because of LTF. Their reward system also pathetic. Forgot about customer service, one of the worst!
+1
Really Worst Customer Support and they don’t care about customers.
I have their titanium. Best for fuel and billpay.
5% on electricity & Fuel is a great option and I remain on their limits. Payzapp will gradually shut down their discounts, but this card has been giving the rewards for quite few years.
However it all depends based on your usage (and I do have a LTF, longtime user).
How do you manage to get it as LTF?
Well, you need to analyse your transaction history and see what category of txns are best suited for your mix and accordingly decide.
There’s a cap on titanium credit card cashback per month
