It’s been 2 weeks since I got Covid Positive.
I recovered few days ago, thought I’ll go do test after 14 days.

I got the report today, it’s still showing am COVID Positive.

Anyone else also tested positive after recovering??

So wanted to ask, am I still in risk to transmitting the Virus?

It is not necessary to perform COVID test after recovery. Person can stay positive for upto 6 weeks without actually having disease.

No need to repeat RTPCR after recovery of symptoms. One can remain positive on RTPCR for weeks after recovery. So no use.
A person usually no longer is infective to others after 10 days. So if you have spent 14 days in isolation, and you are asymptomatic, no need to bother about the rtpcr. You are no more infective and free to mingle around.

Aren’t there any chances of ct value decreasing after two weeks of recovery?

I lost my sense of smell today! Kindly read the whole text and reply whether it is covid:

On 14th April, my 2 year old baby got fever, took to pediatrician who said it’s viral flu. He always got high fever without any other symptoms.
2 days later, wife got it too. And 3 days after that, I got it.
Symptoms of me and my wife are exactly same:

Fever upto 102 F for initial 2 days then low fever constantly till another 3 days.
Weakness, fatigue, unable to get up from bed.
Bitter mouth on 5th day which remained till 2 days.
Loss of smell on 6th day, can’t even smell perfume!

Although my wife recovered slightly quicker, her sense of smell is back to around 80% today.

Don’t worry bro same happened with me also
I also got positive when I went for test after 15 days of quarantine, I enquired many people about this many said that due to the presence of dead cells it will show as positive
And also doctors suggested not to take test again after 14 days of quarantine
Don’t worry bro u will be fine 🙂

There’s no need to retest unless you need the negative report for some official purpose. Unnecessary retesting is a waste of resources and your money.

For isolation, it is minimum 10 days + 3 days without any symptoms (cough can take more time to resolve)
Eg
1. If you have symptoms for 4-5 days, isolate for 10+3= 13-14 days
2. If you have severe disease and symptoms for 24 days, isolate for 24+3=27 days
