No. Ask them to videocall you from bank first and see their id. Then only give any further reply.

Email them on their official email id if that’s required.

Risk is definitely there but there are also genuine 3rd party card agents. Speaking from personal experience of getting one card through such an agent, she really helped a lot in getting me a card which otherwise I would not have got but that is more of an exception. I don’t recommend to share aadhaar id though in any form, rbl & yes bank card agents only ask for aadhaar number & do biometric authentication during physical kyc. Anyone who does not do biometric authentication, don’t give aadhaar & instead use DL or voter id. Btw I talked with that lady over phone first for 5-10 min before being convinced that she is genuine.

P.S. I did it only because I needed an unsecured card from a major pvt bank with good limit & now that I got it I won’t do it again. if you already have a decent limit unsecured card with at least 30-40k limit from a major pvt bank(or sbi) then it is an unnecessary risk.

AVOID IT

The ICICI one is obvious but the IndusInd one was smart
The agent/scammer shared the photo copy of someone’s ID card and their email ID but how hard it is to get these details online?
Yes, someone will do further enquiry by sending a mail to that attached mail ID (IndusInd Official)
but still many do end up sharing their documents like Aadhaar card/PAN via WhatsApp

and as far as, what they can do with your documents
They already know your phone number, with documents like Aadhaar/+PAN, they can get a duplicate sim

If you think, u need an agent to get some card approved.. get in touch with them offline through known contacts (The online ones ate just desperate to meet their new-application quotas) !

I have recently got offer for MyZone card LTF. I applied through app, the agent called me and asked to apply. Then after applying he asked me the application id. I asked him to show his id, he kept on insisting app id. I gave up and sent him app id over whatsapp.

Application id is not sensitive info, only someone who has access to bank/card processing system will be able to do something with application ID.

Strictly avoid sharing personal info thru these channels. Many misuse it and don’t regret after.
