Friends, I am in need of a basic but sustainable laptop under 25k. For now only considering Intel processor as I have had bad experience with AMD. The purpose is basic office work from home and running excel, word, ppt and Internet surfing.

I understand in this lockdown most sites are not taking order, but I would like to order as soon as lock down opens up or maybe from tatacliq right now of they are accepting orders. I struggled a lot in working from home during this lock down hence have to get a laptop ASAP.

Please provide some good suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Going by past trend amd ryzen latest processor series in laptops always launch late compared to intel latest series in laptops & seeing the current state of world economy expect more than usual delay.

My 3 years exp with both hdd and sdd. With hdd laptop speed is too slow after 1 year. And ssd speed make laptop fast even after 2 3 years. I am using 240gb kingston ssd in my laptop. Even i have 2tb hdd in spare

I will make it even more simple to understand, anyone who says hdd is better than ssd is no better than an agent selling chit fund scheme with unrealistic returns or a baba on the road claiming to double your money in few minutes. smile

Who are these people ?? rolleyes

These people don’t have any knowledge & experience about SSDs…

Even the cheapest SSD is 10x faster than a conventional 5400 RPM HDD

Lenevo was selling a ryzen 3200u laptop with 15.1" screen & 512gb ssd for 28k which is the best option at its price.

The speed of ryzen 3200u processor compares to which of Intel processor in terms of i3, i5, i7, i9 if both are having same ssd ram instead of hdd?

In this budget, it will be better to go for any Ryzen deals, instead of older generations i3 at best.
Best if it comes with an SSD as well as 8 gb RAM. Otherwise just make sure there are slots for SSD + RAM expansion.
So at this budget (unless some crazy deal comes up) , your primary target spec should be Ryzen+SSD+8GB RAM. This combination will take of all your needs.
Even if you need to add 3-5k, you should do this. Do not waste your entire 25k on a laptop which will make you regret very soon. Dont skimp on the above 3 requirements. Thats minimum.

Ryzen 4000 series is seriously good. Not even the most diehard AMD fan one could predict it delivering DOUBLE the battery life of its Intel counterpart. And it beats it on performance as well which was expected. Integrated GPU is miles ahead. And considerably cheaper.
