Friends, I am in need of a basic but sustainable laptop under 25k. For now only considering Intel processor as I have had bad experience with AMD. The purpose is basic office work from home and running excel, word, ppt and Internet surfing.
I understand in this lockdown most sites are not taking order, but I would like to order as soon as lock down opens up or maybe from tatacliq right now of they are accepting orders. I struggled a lot in working from home during this lock down hence have to get a laptop ASAP.
Please provide some good suggestions. Thanks in advance.

is this new series and amd – better or some what similar to intel core i3
My Suggestion
1. SSD Must dont take with HDD
2. Min 8Gb Ram
Bro But mostly people saying hdd is best
Thank you all for such valuable suggestions.. Presuming I don’t want AMD and can’t wait for a month, is there any deal available at present or soon after lockdown is over that i can jump on?
Lenevo was selling a ryzen 3200u laptop with 15.1" screen & 512gb ssd for 28k which is the best option at its price.
In this budget, it will be better to go for any Ryzen deals, instead of older generations i3 at best.
Best if it comes with an SSD as well as 8 gb RAM. Otherwise just make sure there are slots for SSD + RAM expansion.
So at this budget (unless some crazy deal comes up) , your primary target spec should be Ryzen+SSD+8GB RAM. This combination will take of all your needs.
Even if you need to add 3-5k, you should do this. Do not waste your entire 25k on a laptop which will make you regret very soon. Dont skimp on the above 3 requirements. Thats minimum.
Thanks
Better buy a decent used macbook from olx
I am not a mac book fan.
Is this laptop worth buying or shall i go for some other model if my budget is 35k?
No
@_One_Miller_ Decide your laptop by your budget+requirements & not the other way around. Some basic facts:
1. Don’t buy anything below 8th gen core i3 if going for intel.
2. Ryzen 3500u currently offers best value for money.
3. Always prefer to get laptop with pre-installed ssd that too m2/nvme. Reason being that 90%+ chances you will void warranty if trying to upgrade to ssd on your own & in current situation it is not at all recommended to rely on making a visit to service centre to get them to upgrade ssd for you which btw will cost you extra 600-800 as service charge. This also means that you can easily install a hdd in its usual slot(since ssd is there in m2 slot) or a second regular 2.5" sata ssd.
4. Do not get a laptop with hdd nowadays unless you want to curse your new laptop for being slower than your 5 years old win 7/8.1 laptop.
5. Checkout asuspromo.in site. Asus is giving 2 years warranty for just Rs.99 & 3 years warranty for just Rs.999 which is a steal deal in my opinion. Just this fact alone makes asus the preferred recommendation.
I wish to buy from tatacliq but seems no ryzen 3500 available on tatacliq.. At least within 30k.
Wishlisted this for the upcoming sale. Main usage will be some basic MS office ops, entertainment & browsing. May use it for photo & video editing in future. I want to use it for 5+ years, so should be future proof. Need your expert opinion guys & suggest any alternatives if this one is not good. @bikidas2060 @getready @guest_999

V.avg laptop (Good when there are no sales / product available.. 40/42k is its MSRP)
These are not the kinda laptops you should wishlist for yearly sales like BBD
Look for other options
wait a month atleast buy only amd 4000 series laptop
