Need suggestions on a good tablet with expandable storage.
Primary use is browsing and watching movies /series.
Lte version if possible, not keen on camera.
I'm planning to replace.. Rather exchange a standby realme 6 phone.
Is this the right time to buy?
Budget 15k (without exchange ) i have an icici card.

If you can extend your budget by some thousands the Xiaomi Pad 6 (or iPad 9th gen. great for browsing if one is not a tab hoarder but their aspect ratio is poorly suited to watching widescreen content unfortunately) is the best option. Only con is the moderate contrast ratio of ~1000:1 instead of the expected 1500:1 and higher. Most Android tabs even upto the 30k range are quite poor never mind budget offerings.
Samsung S6 Lite was great deal under Rs.12K.
There will be issues in budget Android tablets even Mi Pad 6 has issues with unresponsive screen etc according to Amazon reviews. It offers best specs on 'Paper' thus worth spending a few thousand more. These manufacturers will take time to polish their tablet ecosystem - minimum a couple of years.
Samsung has been making tablets for some time & offers slightly better software experience but way behind Apple. Their display is slightly less vibrant as compared to Mi, Realme & slower charging. You will get security updates for 3-4 years & OS updates also depending on model. A9+ 8gb/128 wifi was available for 15.5 on Amazon after ICICI card discount few days back.
Most tablets should be fine for basic video watching. Realme pad 2 comes with 4g for around 15-16.
HONOR Pad X9 with Free Flip-Cover 11.5-inch (29.21 cm) 2K Display, Snapdragon 685, 7GB (4GB+3GB RAM Turbo), 128GB Storage, 6 Speakers, Up-to 13 Hours Battery, Android 13, WiFi Tablet, Metal Body

Alert: S6 lite available under Rs.15k
