Tata neu infinity denied for LTF

When I requested to convert my neu card for LTF from FYF , as a reply its been said by HDFC team that "card renewal is an automated process, when the card is in active status. Accordingly, we note that the renewal period is by January 2025 and we regret our inaility to stop the same manualy when the card is in active status"

Does that mean , if I block or make my card inactive (if that option is available under card control) before renewal date, then next year annual fee will not be charged?

(By this way I will avoid hitting my credit score while closing card and keep option open to acivate it in future when I may feel annual fee is worth to pay.)

You won't be able to convert your neu card to ltf unless very lucky & spend more than 2-3 lakhs in past few months.

You are right

I tried lot for ltf but couldn't make it.

I can see option to block this card but not sure if it will avoid next year charges or not. Also do not know if this block can be removed in future.

Tataneu is co branded floater card andas per my understanding, it may be a good card if its LTF
